Does what it claims
Very happy with this for the price. I use it backup my PC. I've checked the speed and I get around 800MB/s so pretty good.It seems well made. Compact and easy to store. Plug and play, Windows 11 recognised it fine.It gets a bit warm when in constant use but seems to survive well.On a lighter note, some of the translations appealed to my childish side e.g. "Ringhole Portable SSD".

Excellent for backups!
This is a very reasonably priced 1TB SSD - though, apparently not as quick as advertised.....I intended to use it on my ASUS Zenbook Duo UX482EAR laptop (Win 11 Pro) for backups - in lieu of a slow old HDD I used previously. I tried it first on a USB-A (3.2 Gen 1) port and, as expected, I saw transfer rates at about 460 mbps. I anticipated getting double that when I switched to a Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C 3.2 Gen 2) port - as per the device specification. I didn't - indeed it was slightly slower at 430 mbps!I tried my own (Samsung) USB-C to C (3.2 Gen 2) cable and I got 1055 mbps - as per the spec - see photo "USB-C-2". I contacted the seller who confirmed that the device is erroneously shipped with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 cable so can never achieve the advertised speeds. They have given me a partial refund which is more than adequate for me to purchase an alternative cable on Amazon. Given the prompt response, I have changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars. With the new cable, the device works a treat and my backups have dropped to about 3 minutes (from about 40 minutes when using the old HDD). I am pleased with that. I also tested the device successfully on both my Samsung Flip5 mobile and Honor Pad 9 tablet. It was recognised as an OTG disk and everything works as anticipated. The device does get quite warm in use and I note that very large file transfers slow down at about the 100GB mark. I presume this shows the limitations of the device cache. The SSD is a handy size though it would have been nice to get a small carry case or bag. But, for the price, I can't complain. Looking at the size and shape, I presume this is an M.2 type SSD in an aluminium USB enclosure. Heat dissipation appears to be adequate. So, despite the cable issue, and Amazon's best efforts to destroy the device in our letterbox, I am still rather chuffed 😀 - the device appears to be robust, reliable, handy and very reasonably priced. If you are intending to buy one - ensure you get the correct cable.......IMPORTANT NOTE.I see a plethora of "Vine" reviews for this product - just one of which noted that the device was running at half it's advertised speed! This just confirms that reviews in return for a free product (even when sponsored by Amazon) are a total waste of time and misinform potential buyers. Surely some level of due diligence should be required??
