Great product
I bought this speaker as a present for a friend and I loved it so much that I had to buy me one. I have no regrets. The speaker works great in small gathering with tremendous power and the Bluetooth makes my job a lot easier. I use it almost every weekend and so far it is doing what it supposed to do. I recommend it .

Cost to Performance is Excellent
The media could not be loaded. Note about the video: this was at about 20% volume.Disclaimer: only used these speakers once for an outdoor party - used for about 6 hours total run time. No issues with overheating or degraded sound quality over time. What I like: Excellent clarity. Very good bass without a sub. Connecting to the speakers and pairing them was easy. Good bluetooth range. Started losing signal at about 100ft unobstructed. App is pretty easy to use and the presets are actually useful. Extremely powerful - I cranked the level up to about 50% and it was loud enough to drown out conversation from 80 feet away. What could be better: Self noise - Even at low volumes there is a very audible hiss coming from the speakers. Fine if you are in an environment that is relatively noisy to begin with but could be distracting in places that are very quiet and you try to run these at low volume.Bluetooth pairing to other speaker got slightly out of sync when I was walking around with my phone. I had to 're-pair' the speakers a couple times when I was moving about because there was a slight (like 20 or so miliseconds) delay in one speaker - cause a slapback type effect. Re-paring only took a few seconds but could be a show stopper if you are truly running a show from a bluetooth device and you're not stationary.

Quality performance
I purchased this for my karaoke setup--probably overkill, but it is nice and clear sounding with a decent amount of bass. In my living room, I could never turn this speaker up to max or else I'd be met with hearing problems in the future.I did not find the EQ app/settings useful--was hoping for a reverb setting, but it wasn't available---so I had to go out and buy my Yamaha mixer to remedy this. The bluetooth function of this works great and doesn't feel like it lost any sound quality delivering music. I purchased this over the non bluetooth version for the purpose of dualing it as an outdoor speaker to play music if ever needed. However, I normally play my music for karaoke via my sound bar system, and use this pa system for vocals. If you are the same, you could probably get away with the $100 cheaper system.Slightly heavy (for a small female) if transporting, but at least you know it's stable and built to last.

DSP is a gamechanger on these!
I purchased a TS408 recently mainly to use as a monitor in various scenarios. I DJ often but I also play gigs with various live music ensembles, and I wanted something that would be suitable as a convenient personal monitor so I could simply hear myself when playing with my own sound setup. For context I'm a professional musician, DJ and sound engineer who works at clubs in NYC where I have access to amazing sound systems, and I also play private parties at residences and rental spaces with minimal or no sound system. I bought a TS408 for the latter purpose. With regards to sound quality I'm highly critical and spoiled. And I don't like the sound of these as is. By default the Alto TS line sounds a bit harsh to me, with a difficult frequency band between 1.2Khz - 3.5khz where a lot of harshness seems to be apparent. I also own an Alto TS312 (Used to have two of these but one broke) and it's just what you get with cheaper speakers. There's a bit of muddiness in the low mids around 200-250hz. Highs are OK, not as rough as the low mids and high mids, but not exceptionally detailed especially when the presence of the problematic frequency bands take prominence. Why 4 stars still? Well price for one, this is a cheap speaker so I'm aware of my expectations here. But what did redeem this speaker for me was the DSP. I was able to notch out the frequencies that I didn't like and it made a huge difference in sound quality. It's still not amazing or even great to the point of completely surprising me given the price of this, but makes it functional for my purpose of having a reference speaker. It's totally fine for me playing live music, although as a DJ I don't think it gives me a very flat and honest sound monitoring experience, even with my tuning via the phone app. It does the job to help me monitor my mixing accuracy but not necessarily sound quality. But I've only used it as house parties so its fine for the purpose even professionally speaking.Other notes on this are that despite it being the smallest driver size PA style speaker you can get it still is quite large with significant weight. I also used to have a pair of Alto TX8 speakers and they were much lighter. Its a tradeoff for having a powerful amp built in. Bluetooth is a nice extra, and connectivity is standard with multiple ins and a link output.Overall Alto speakers are basic but they do the thing essentially. If you just want to have some sound these are a decent choice, but I do recommend investing more money if you are serious about sound and are considering purchasing a setup for regular events. I have bought 5 Alto speakers in total but eventually I've ended up upgrading. Still they work well to fill a space with sound at a great price. The DSP added into the new TS40X series really is a big step up tho, and puts this on a similar level as speakers in the $500 range, even though these are a notch below that in price.

Lil thumpers
I've had several Alto speakers and these are my newest ones. I've had the TX 12's, the TX'10's, the TX'8s, and the TS 10's. I've had VERY good luck with Alto considering they are a discount brand. I also have QSC K12's and EV's. I do DJ work, but mostly band stuff for my band as well as helping other bands with sound. The TS series is a great value in a solid speaker. Are they QSC quality, no. Do they sound really good and work night after night, yes they do. They sound very good and work every time. My last set of TX10's I finally sold to a friend because I wanted to upgrade to the TS series but after 5 years of continuous work they were still kicking. I use the TS 8's for stage monitors when space is limited. My band doesn't like IEM's so we run these little suckers.Great value, great sound. Wish they had handles on top like the TX series but no big deal. Buy them.

Packs a punch in a small package
The media could not be loaded. Alto TS408 speakers: Small form factor, Bluetooth and built-in 3 channel mixer, sound excellent for the price. Highly recommend it.
