Does this have an on/off switch on the head. I take military showers and like to turn off water between lather and rinse.

it dose not but I got a KES K1140B BRASS Shower Head Shut-Off Valve G 1/2, Polished Chrome and connected it to it then to the hose and works great .

What is the spring and glass lite blue ball for??? They popped out when I tried using both the metal face plate and the plastic one

If the inner white piece has come off and glass ball and spring come out. Take the glass ball and put it on top by of the spring and gently place into the moving lever that has a hole for it. Then as best you can while keeping the piece level , take the white circular piece and align via notches , there are two one small one big, and press evenly in. Then reinstall the shower filters as normal.

Has anyone adapted this for the kitchen sink?

Hi, I don't know know how you will fit it with a kitchen sink, it is a shower and high pressure. All surrounding will be wet for sure.
