Purchased this to clean a relatives carpet. It was on sale at the time and seemed to be a no brainer.It does a great job of cleaning with the included solutions. Admittedly they don’t have much of a scent despite supposedly being fragranced, so I wouldn’t hope for a lovely smelling room after using it, but it did clean up a lot of dark patches on a grey carpet very well.It’s good quality and a good size, very portable, but slightly on the heavier side. My relative is elderly and I wouldn’t let her use this herself as it required quite a bit of elbow grease.One disadvantage is that the vacuum part of it is pretty poor, so don’t expect your carpet to be anywhere near dry after using this. It took about 24 hours for the carpet to dry out, probably didn’t help that the underlay got wet too and kept it moist.Because it stays wet for a while, it darkens the carpet while it’s wet and it might still look dirty, but after it dries, it does appear to have done a great job.It’s not the sort of thing that we’ll be using too often, but it’s handy to have in the house and it works well.

BRILLIANT! I use this with the proper detergent, but I have run out so used other things to clean my carpet with. This brings my carpet up like new, I love it. It was recommended to me by one of my lovely customers, I’m a childminder so I have LOTS of cleaning to do on a daily basis and this has not let me down yet. Easy to use, easy to fill/empty, even my husband can work it!

Vax have been around for as long as I can remember and have always performed well although somewhat bulky. The new spot wash max is very capable and handy for the home.For me this is a trade off between a full size unit and storage space as we have a relatively small house I figured I could use this as general carpet cleaner plus spot wash (ok so it will take much longer but I’m not in a rush!) it’s perfect for the stairs and ideal for cleaning a mattress when changing the sheets.The instructions could be a little better when it comes to the hose clean function it wasn’t clear and I had the handle upside down initially (it goes in with the little notch facing upwards) other than that o would say I was disappointed with the lack of accessory storage as the machine is only designed to store the crevice tool and one cleaning nozzle onboard leaving the other wide nozzle, pet tool and wide tool brush attachment in a pile next to it (perhaps a netted sack to keep it all together would be in order, I’ve used a little laundry bag myself)It’s important to remember that it’s not going to shift a dried in well established stain so if your thinking of getting one to get rid of that curry stain on the carpet from last year then forget it! That aside it does do a good job of cleaning if you put the elbow grease in. I tried it on a section of carpet in the kitchen doorway that gets a bit mucky at times and whilst it didn’t remove the old stains it did do a surprisingly good job of cleaning the carpet lifting some old marks I wasn’t expecting.I did find the trigger sticky that dispenses the cleaning fluid but it worked loose over time. When you get the angle right it pulls up most the water leaving the carpet damp -it’s not wet but it’s not touch dry so to speak. Due to the clear nozzle cover you can see the liquid being picked up so it’s easy to get the right angle. I found it best to dispense the fluid over an area then turn off the vac and work it in using the brush head before turning it back on and clean in straight rearward pulls getting as much liquid out as I can.Considering its size the noise isn’t that bad although the exhaust can be a bit warm.Get it when on offer and it will repay you tenfold -just don’t let the neighbours see!

Vax SpotWash Home spot, splash, pets, wet vacuum unit.This unit is ideal for those oops wet or dry spills that a larger wet vacuum cleaner would be inconvenient. This vax unit is very good quality, small, portable, fits in closet, cupboard, under stairs and can be easily reached for to do the tidy up... washed, dried returned.The tank has 1100ml (1.1 litre) capacity with suction to vacuum any household spills.I find this most useful in cleaning areas (specific locations) where my dogs each have to chew, knaw, or eat treats. As they take time to chew the treats from the rubber-esque toys... there are crumbs.Crumbs are easily removed with daily vacuum cleaning but not thewet onrs. Also the ones with dye in chew items, to dry dog food with sloppy tongues. Mine do occasionally have an oui oui accident. Paper trained, but if one is on the pads, well they do not like to go at the same time. So I get an urgent had to go spot on the carpet. The whirling brush with vax carpet shampoo has it removed very quickly due to great suction and it is properly clean with no smell lingering.It is then a simple empty, flush, rinse out of holding tank, and a quick wash of whirling scrubby brush. I also rinse out the hose. When dry, I reassemble and tuck away until the next usage.I have also used this unit in my cars. Scrubbing muddy carpet spots through to a motion upchuck by one of my dogs or a wee small person - toddler. Pomeranian size dogs, so not much upper chucky but again this vax was/is the perfect size to clean spot and surrounding area.I like this size vax so much and find it so extremely convenient, I purchased a second unit just to keep in our summer house. I highly recommend this unit for it's excellent quality, value for money, and power suction in a very compact model.

This is a light weight carpet, rug, upholstery and car cleaner with plenty of attachments. Excellent resultsAfter having a heavy, old fashioned Vax carpet cleaner, this is a pleasure to use and very good value with Amazon
