Works Instantly!
I needed something for my over 100 lb Rottweiler. He is a very bad puller. I can't take him for walks at all. Once he pulled me down because a work person was at my house. He was able to pull me to the ground. I had tried various harnesses and leashes. None helped. I did not want to try a prong collar as I had an unfortunate accident with prongs on an E-collar. I had used a gentle leader before but it kept slipping off his muzzle. I did some research and came upon this Head Halti. I loved that it can attach to his collar in case it comes off. The day it arrived, I put it on him and attached to his collar. I bought a brand new double ended leash for his as well. Let me tell you, I was able to walk him and not get pulled around. My husband was with me just in case. I also had another leash on him just to be on the safe side. He didn't like the Head Halti at first. He did try to get it off. I felt so empowered being able to actually enjoy taking my big boy on a walk. I love that the muzzle has a pad on it. I got the size 4 for him and it is a good fit. My husband doesn't use it for him, but I do. He will sit and let me put it on him. Once, he was able to take it off, but it was attached to his collar! So I didn't have to run around chasing him. I love this Head Halti! I wish I would have gotten it sooner. I had in fact messaged a woman on the internet to get a prong collar in case this didn't work. Once I saw that it worked, I message her quickly cancelling the sale!! If you have a puller, get this collar!

If you have a pulling dog, give this a try (with a slight modification)
I have a 60 pound pitty who likes to pull. I tried many other devices, and this is the only one that truly works for us. It took me a few walks to develop a good method, as with the lead connected under the mouth, my dog would frantically paw at his mouth when it tightened and it worried me that he couldn't pant properly. So my method is, I use a Martingale collar (tightens when pulling so cannot come off), and I connect my leash to the Martingale collar instead of the ring under his mouth as my dog really cannot tolerate the constant tightening around his mouth. Having the head collar lead attached at the same place as my leash on the Martingale collar assists with stopping him from pulling without so much tightening as it still makes his head turn back toward me. I still have to watch him around other dogs when he pulls more as it will tighten around his mouth and sometimes not release as it gets twisted and I have pull the mouth parts down to loosen them. I washed the head collar in fabric softener so it slides better through the plastic parts under his mouth. Now, he barely pulls on walks with this head harness, he acts better when encountering other dogs or 'suspicious' people, and I can get him under control so much easier. I highly recommend this, but be sure to check it loosens after tightening around the mouth and maybe wash yours in fabric softener before use. Also of note, the measurements indicated he needed a 2, but the 2 was way too constrictive around his mouth so I ordered a 3 which fits perfectly.

Immediate results for reactive dog
The media could not be loaded. *****1 week update*****TLDR; 6YR old rescue dog goes from being an animal-aggressive/fearful/reactive dog to a being a better citizen I can walk around the neighborhood with the Halti headcollar as a training tool.My original review was more product related and discussed pulling. Had to update because it's more incredible than I realized. My boy would either lunge aggressively, flip out in panic, or scurry away and pull hard when he would spot another animal on a walk. It has been a scary 9 months where I have often feared and dreaded taking him out because he is big and has attacked others (thankfully not too severely because I have good reflexes). He is usually good with basic obedience commands but would go into a blind rage or panic thrash and become impossible. I did a couple of weeks of giving him kibble as soon as he laid eyes on another dog. It helped a bit, but wasn't perfect because he wouldn't take the treats gently when in a tizzy. Then I got this Halti.I spent a few days correcting him for his bad attitude (tight leash, quick tug, and stern vocal correction AS SOON as he looks at another dog funny, or his posture gets stiff, or he goes into hunt mode -- shut that down, which wasn't possible with normal leash/collar corrections.) Successfully walk away for a few yards? Sit, "good boy", treat, keep going. He fought the Halti the first couple of times that he wanted to flip out, but soon realized it was a fight he would lose. Consistent and immediate corrections all week... started giving him treats and "good boys" for being more calm about walking away from dogs the next couple of days. It's amazing. I'm still careful and keep him a few yards away from other animals, but we went to the local park today at dog walk o'clock and he was amazing, I didn't even bother with treats. He's definitely getting it now: that 1) I do NOT want him to react or fixate. 2) He's not going to win fighting the Halti. 3) the other dogs are not all out to get us. 4) walk away from another reactive dog? Extra praise and good boy kibbles for being the bigger dog! (He's overweight so he can't always get treats, but I sit him down and give him affection instead sometimes, then keep walking.) He saw many dogs at the park today and did not lunge at, bark at, or whine and pull from a single one. He was a little weary of a couple but didn't freak out at all, just kept glancing at them cautiously but walked away knowing what was good for him.Anyway: 5 stars. We can live in peace now. I hope if you're a reactive dog owner who has come home in tears of frustration, that you will give this a try for your dog and believe in their best self (also beckman's dog training on youtube - very helpful if you're not sure where to start.)*****My 64lb border heeler is wearing a size 2 (he's overweight) and generally is not trash on a leash. At a distance of a few feet ahead of me, he usually won't pull AS badly as some other dogs I've had (unless he sees a cat/squirrel/dog, then he goes NUTS), but if I tried to get him to walk next to me or focus on me and find me, no luck. Just got it yesterday, that video our first walk with the headcollar and double ended leash (that I'm not sure I'm using right frankly). I used treats when putting it on. I pulled him away easily (you pull - dog listens - and gentle motions do just fine, no need to be harsh at all) or distracted him with treats when he tried to take it off mid-walk a few times. He's annoyed that it works. I love that it works. Seriously, I'm barely holding the leash and he is not pulling, so I'm amazed. I stop, he stops. We're turning together 😭.Seems comfortable enough and build seems good, too. Size 2 is perfect according to the Halti size recommendations for a cattle dog, but I did measure him just in case since he's a mix. I'm hopeful that, along with the treat conditioning I'm doing with him when he sees animals on walks, it'll help his reactivity and make walking him less stressful.

This is one of those things that I like but I don't like, no muzzle adjustments
It's hard to know if this is going to fit your dog. The muzzle strap doesn't have an adjustment, so it is not all that easy to use. These are well made and quite durable, there is padding on the muzzle strap but it seemed to invite the dog to try to use his front paws to try to remove it. I think that the comfort was not all that great. Even when it doesn't fit well it does add to the level of control, and it does it's job.

Life changing purchase
Absolutely turned walks into a pleasure rather than torment. I have a young lab mix dog who so enormously strong and walking on a leash was so painful. If she saw a squirrel or something else that created reactivity she would pull so hard she would pull me over. Not with this halty. She is gentle she is calm. We went to a park we could never visit before because it is squirrel Wild Kingdom and she was completely manageable. She's about 55 lbs lab mix and a size 3 was perfect for her
