Not Too Shabby! (Update)
Nice size pool for the money. I assembled it by myself in an hour and a half. Directions were straight forward so with 2 people the “30 minute assemble time” noted on the box is probably accurate. Will update once the pool is filled and the kids have used it a time or two!*** UPDATE ***Awoke the morning after filling with water to find an enormous puddle of water at the base of the pool so there is at least one leak that I cannot see. I will have to contact the manufacturer and hope they will send a new liner ASAP.

Beat the Heat and Score Some Summer Serenity!
The media could not be loaded. I assembled the 8.5x 5.5 pool alone, in 95 degree heat, so it took me about 1.5 hours. I watched a youtube video that helped with assembly. I have an uneven patio, but this pool sits more level than the round inflatable one we had from intex. It is sturdy and seems to be holding the water well. It comes with two of the filter tubes, but no pump. I am using the one I used for my 8x8 round pool and it appears to be working fine. I also left space between the fence and pool to prevent it from leaning against the fence as it filled. I also purchased an intex cover, which is a bit larger than the pool, but it gives me extra room so I don’t have to stretch it so far. I also used two tarps under the pool, as it does not include a pad like the larger one. I like the depth of this pool, as it is filled almost to the top, something I couldn’t do with the round pool.

Built to last
6/10/2025: Just set this pool up for the fourth time and it still looks great, parts have all held up and there are no tears or leaks. Purchased early summer 2022 and it was used heavily. Requires a pump and chlorine.

Coolio Poolio
Very nice pool, unfortunately doesn’t come with a Pump but all the tubing for one. Decent sized to relax in during the hot summer days.

Excellent value, durable liner
Excellent pool for small kids (0-6/7). We had this pool for four years before one of the top frame rails rusted and split. It saw a lot of use with three busy kids. The liner outlasted the frame! Given the price it’s an excellent value. I recommend going with the bigger Intex 1000 gph pump so you’re not cleaning/switching cartridges every day. (Maybe every other? 😆) We like low maintenance here. When the frame split we used on the round inflatable-top 10’ pools. Do not recommend. It last a week even with patch repair. Now that the kids are getting bigger we’re upgrading to the Intex 14.75' x 33" Rectangular Frame pool and using a sand filter pump.

Pool
It was a little more difficult to put together than we expected, but next year will be a breeze. Love it perfect size, length, width and depth. Just got it set up today.

Defective Pool and Dishonest Customer Service – A Nightmare Purchase
This pool purchase on Amazon turned into a nightmare from day one. The product arrived damaged out of the box, and the seller’s support was unhelpful, dismissive, and downright dishonest throughout the ordeal. Here is my honest experience – I hope it warns others before they make the same mistake.Damaged Right Out of the BoxMy excitement quickly turned into disappointment when I set up the pool and immediately found it leaking water. A brand-new pool shouldn’t have holes, but that’s exactly what I got. The small patch kit included was useless against the leak. I initially gave the seller the benefit of the doubt – instead of demanding an immediate return, I asked for a better patch kit or a solution to fix the defect. No brand-new product should require repairs on day one, but I was willing to try since returning a large pool is a huge hassle.Customer Service: Broken Promises and LiesAt first, the seller responded in a way that gave me hope. They promised to send a replacement pool without requiring me to return the damaged one. This was a relief – re-boxing a large, wet pool and shipping it back is nearly impossible for a customer. Unfortunately, that initial promise turned out to be a lie. Soon after, the seller backtracked on their word and insisted I return the original defective pool before they would ship a replacement.I was stunned by this reversal. I had explicitly explained to the seller that returning this pool would be extremely difficult for me, yet they didn’t seem to care. Their about-face felt like a classic bait-and-switch: tell the customer what they want to hear, then change the terms later. It’s incredibly frustrating and dishonest to promise a hassle-free resolution and then pull it away like that.Return Process: An Impossible OrdealOnce the seller demanded a return, the situation went from bad to absurd. I tried to comply, but returning a large above-ground pool is not a simple task. I faced multiple obstacles that the seller completely ignored or dismissed:• Re-boxing Nightmare: The pool was out of its original packaging and fully assembled with 50% water when I discovered the defect. It would be impossible to stuff it back into the torn packaging it came in. The seller didn’t offer any assistance or alternative solution for packing this huge, wet, unwieldy item.• No Printer for Labels: I don’t own a printer, which I told the seller. They promised that a shipping company would handle the return for free. This is obviously false. Instead, they emailed me a FedEx return label – which I could not print at home. So much for “the shipping company will handle it.”In short, the seller’s “solution” to their defective product was practically impossible for a customer to carry out. They either didn’t understand or didn’t care about how unrealistic their return demands were. Their claim that a shipping company would handle everything was completely misleading – ultimately I am left on my own with a useless pool and an unworkable return process.Compensation: Too Little, Too LateAfter all this back-and-forth, the seller tried to placate me with a token gesture. They initially offered a measly $38 refund for my “inconvenience” However I had spent money to fill the pool with water, only to watch it all leak out due to the defect. I explicitly asked the seller to reimburse me for the wasted water (a significant added cost on my utility bill), but they completely ignored this request.• $38 doesn’t come close to covering the time, effort, and frustration I went through, nor the actual cost of the lost water and potential supplies trying to fix the leak. It felt like a brush-off, not a genuine attempt to make things right. The seller’s dismissive attitude was clear: they wanted to do the bare minimum to avoid trouble, rather than take responsibility for selling a faulty product. I never received the full replacement pool I was promised, and I’m essentially stuck with a defective pool unless I can miraculously return it under the impossible conditions they set. The $38 “compensation” offer also went out the window and apparently came off the table. Conclusion: Avoid This Product and SellerThis experience was infuriating and deeply disappointing. Not only did I receive a defective Intex pool that I couldn’t even enjoy for a single day, but I was also subjected to deceptive customer service from the seller on Amazon. They lied about sending a replacement, misled me about the return process, and offered and rescinded a paltry compensation that didn’t begin to cover my losses. Throughout the process, I felt unheard, disrespected, and essentially tricked.Bottom line: Avoid this pool and be wary of this seller. A pool is supposed to provide fun and relaxation, but this one only gave me headaches and expenses. I wish I had never purchased it. Save yourself the money, time, and aggravation – do not buy this product, and think twice about buying any large item from a seller who doesn’t stand by their word. This was easily one of the worst purchase experiences I’ve ever had, and I hope my honest review spares someone else from the same nightmare.

Easy
Very easy set up. Little bummed it didn't come with a filter, but everything for a filter was provided.
