Nice trimmer, watch the grain direction of the vineer to avoid gouging
Nice trimmer, works well, just watch how the grain of your edge banding (veneer) is running, to prevent it "digging in" to the banding. This is true for all such trimmers.I found it easy to use and quickly trimmed the edging on a 5" x 2" cabinet in less than 15 minutes. It took longer to iron on the edging than to trim it, and it was my first time for both. The blade is reversible, and should last a long time, considering the task it does. It looks like replacement blades are available.A good value.

Cuts well with the grain
Cuts very with the grain. Have to push hard against the grain. Have to be careful not to angle the tip as it easily gouges the veneer unless it is exactly straight.

Great product!
This cutter works great! As a cabinet maker for over 50 years, this is a great product. People complaining about it marking or not cutting are trying to use it on too heavy of a material or something very hard like p-lam . For normal thin veneer or especially pvc banding it is great. Flushing off the excess with ease. Will order this again, and it can be resharpened!

Don't go without this tool
Worked great I don't know why I ever trimmed edge banding without this inexpensive tool.

Product quality ok, design engineering poor
The trimmer functions but the design causes it to cut into the top veneer/or surface. Also often leaves agroove cut on the adjacent side. I have been veneering furniture for over 30 years of experience and do notrecommend this tool!

Solid product
I used this trimmer on a Murphy Bed project with more than 100 feet of birch veneer edge banding. It cost 60% less than trimmers that cut both edges at the same time. The blade is sharp and rides smoothly on top of 3/4" birch plywood. The product has two blades that enable you to easily switch by loosening two screws. With the 100 feet I trimmed, I didn't need to change blades. It's very solid in your hand and you can turn the product over and use the back straight edge to smooth edge banding during the ironing process. The one drawback I found with this product is trimming the ends of each board. As you reach the end of each cut, make sure you continue steadily moving the trimmer forward. It's similar to moving a circular saw all the way through the cut. The cutter isn't very long and once it loses contact with the board you tend to either dig into the board or leave excess edge banding. One recommendation, build a simple jig to hold the product you're trimming steady. Just sandwich your board between two shorter boards and your cuts will turn out better.
