Great for reading sheet music
This is the best tablet that I have found for reading sheet music. Using mobile sheets you can link two of these tablets together in book view. The size is ideal for sheet music and the response time is good. The screen has no glare and is comfortable to view for long periods without flicker. Ideal for my purposes. The sound quality is not great but then if you want a capable tablet for music reading, note taking, internet use and basic admin tasks, then this works perfectly at a sensible price point. The unit I received was supposed to be 'good as new' but was missing the charger and pen holder on arrival.

Fantastic aid for musicians
I bought this mainly for reading sheet music plus tuition software like Tomplay and Yousician. I purchased a Bluetooth page turning pedal at the same time. Reading music on PDFs or ebook formats is great, and using PDFgear I can use the included pen to annotate a score without paying an expensive subscription. The screen is excellent, lovely and clear without hurting your eyes.So far it has exceeded my expectations, especially at the price point, almost half the price of a second hand apple or Samsung. The speakers are a little tinnie but I pair the tablet via Bluetooth to headphones or my Roland E-drums so not bothered by that. Battery life is very good and youtube and other videos perform well, no obvious lag.I no longer have reams of music fighting to fall of my desk or escape my music case, most of my sheet music is in electronic format and turning pages is easy, no messing with pegs or elastic. I'm going to check out Songbook Pro next and hopefully get the last few bits of music converted into electronic format.

Fantastic for university students
Great for reading research articles and textbooks that tend to come in A4 PDF format and are difficult to read on smaller devices. It really feels like I’m reading physical paper with this device. The pen is alright. It feels much nicer than writing on a glass iPad screen. But there are sometimes palm rejection issues which downgrade it.It’s also very light given its size and easy to hold in one hand. Though it’s a bit less comfortable when placed on a desk, as the camera bump causes the tablet to wobble (would like to see the next generation remove the bump. Or remove the camera altogether and use the cost savings on a better processor or an even lower price).I wouldn’t recommend it for multimedia usage; colours out of the box are too vibrant and cool. The speakers aren’t the best, and there’s a good amount of ghosting. Although, if you’re a student, this may be good because it’s one less source of distraction!

Nice display...but big for a tablet
We got this for our for Christmas during the Black Friday sales. It's a great tablet and comes with a pen and case. Feature wise, the 3 display modes are a gimmick and we've never changed our of the standard display mode. It's a great size, but be warned, it's too big to hold and use. Luckily, the case acts as a stand, which works nicely on the floor or at the table. The stylus works and is fairly responsive. Not immediate, but acceptable for beginners.Overall, a good tablet of you can get it at a good price. But I wouldnt think this is worth the rrp. If it wasn't on sale, I would have been looking at the Lenovo p series instead.

Best tablet reader
Amazing tablet for reading documents and comics.I have an old iPad air, and I was struggling to clearly read comics in particular on the screen, and found myself frequently zooming in. With this screen they are so clear and easy to read, the colours pop, and the battery lasts forever. If you have technical docs or study guides for Uni again this is brilliant and so much less strain on your eyes.Cannot recommend it enough

Great tablet BUT....not for £350
Its a great tablet for everyday use but the biggest issue with it its price, £350 its way too much for it.Screen is big, matte display is good but not exceptional, face unlock works 2/10, charging it takes a lifetime ( tried with anker cables with spigen and ugreen chargers) unless u use its original charger. Case is good but afer only 2 days there are already some marks and scraches on it and I used it only in my bedroom. So I decided to return and bought a Huawei matepad 12x. It was on sale on huawei webpage. Paid £410 for the tablet, keyboard case, pen, mouse. For £60 more got a smaller screen and no official google ( with gbox solved) BUT- screen is superior in every aspect, brighter, better resolution, 144hz and matte display as well- more ram and faster cpu- case with keyboard, mouse and the best Android stylus( as experts says)So all in all the TCL NXRPAPER 14 would be a great choice for around £250 but for £350-400 there are better alternatives like the 8.8 inch Lenovo legion y700 with 144hz screen and gen8 cpu, 10.9 Ipad Air 5th M1 chip used on Ebay, 12 inch category the oneplus pad2, honor magicpad 2 or huawei matepad 12x.

Use this more now than my iPad air and tab S9+ fabulous for my online magazine subscriptions in colour paper mode. Also great for Netflix etc, really can't fault it for everyday media consumption. It is honestly my preferred go to device, which as a gadget addict, has really surprised me, a lot!!
