Eschenbach arena D+ 10x50 binoculars, BaK-4 prisms, waterproof

Dear Reader,I have just taken delivery of a pair of German brand ESCHENBACH Arena D+ binoculars, 8x42 B which for the price are truely excellent value. Well made, handsome, functional, good design, typically German in style. I had been researching the Web for some weeks to find the right combination of quality, design, build quality, clarity of vision and magnification, compact and yet light to carry and pack for trips away. I have found everything I was looking for in this brand.I had also researched other German brands for equivalent products from Luger, Steiner, and Minox - but overall the package for the price £102 is excellent and well deserved of a ***** rating. The binoculars are supplied with a smart carrying case, neck strap, and cleaning cloth. Eschenbach also offer smaller models in the same style 8x32 and larger again in same style of 10x50. I am surprised that Eschenbach are not as widely known in the UK, for if I wanted to represent Eschenbach, I would gladly purchase a franchise to promote their products more widely in the UK. This pair compared favourably to a much more expensive similarly specified binoculars. The strap and carry case are not as well finished as the more expensive pair I compared with, but at the same time perfectly functional with a soft rubbery neck strap. I would recommend for someone who is looking for a pair of good value, high specification, robust binoculars. Ideal for bird and wildlife spotting. They are water proof so no fogging issues.

After asking a friend who has great knowledge of binoculars, i bought these for watching the birds at my feeders & surrounding trees in my garden. They are truly superb, crystal clear & not too heavy. My friend was extremely impressed with them & the price paid for them. I am now enjoying the close up beauty of Goldfinches & Siskins, to name but a few.

Really good well made bins, great value for money. Took a while to find that the eye cups twist out (no instructions) but great after that. Vision very sharp and clear. Great size for travel and general use. Definitely recommend.

I bought these bins specifically for horse-racing because my old Ranger 8x21 pair just weren't up to the job. The image is very bright and clear, and the focusing a doddle as the distance to the object changes. The eycups twist in and out for use with or without glasses. I find that with glasses they are not as good so I use them without glasses. They have a slightly rubbery feel which give a good grip. The case is a nice soft case which does not add too much to the weight. For the money, these are excellent value bins.

Appear to work ok To be honest I was misled by the advert expecting them to be MUCH SMALLER replacing a pair I had stolen - I have not yet used them in anger as I already have better ones that size.

Very good quality binoculars. Amazing clear view even in low light. Easy, straight forward adjustments. Sturdy, solid piece of equipment. Highly recommended.
