Affordable, high-quality audio connectivity
I picked up the Amazon Basics Toslink Digital Optical Audio Cable to connect my TV to a soundbar, and it’s been an absolutely excellent buy. If you need a simple, reliable, and affordable solution for transferring digital audio between devices, this cable is hard to beat.First impressions are good — the cable arrives neatly packaged and includes protective caps on the connectors, which is a small but thoughtful detail that protects the fragile optical tips during transit. The build quality is impressive for the price: the cable feels flexible yet sturdy, with a braided outer jacket that resists kinks and tangles without being too stiff. The connection was seamless. I plugged it into my LG TV and my Samsung soundbar, and within seconds, the devices were communicating perfectly. The fit is snug but not excessively tight, meaning you don’t have to force it in or worry about damaging the ports. In terms of performance, the sound quality is excellent. Being a digital optical connection, it carries clear, clean audio without the possibility of electrical interference — ideal if you’re looking to get the most out of a home cinema setup. Dialogue is crisp, bass is solid, and high frequencies come through without harshness or distortion. I tested it across films, games, and streaming music, and the consistency of the sound was fantastic. At around 1.8 metres in length, it’s perfect for most home setups, offering enough slack to route it neatly behind entertainment units without leaving excess cable coiled awkwardly. One of the great benefits of optical cables is that they’re ideal for transmitting surround sound formats like Dolby Digital and DTS, and this cable handles those effortlessly. Watching films with multi-channel audio really showcases how much of a difference a proper optical connection can make compared to basic HDMI ARC or Bluetooth setups. If I had to make one small suggestion, it would be to offer a version with 90-degree connectors for wall-mounted TVs — but that’s available elsewhere if needed.Overall, the Amazon Basics Toslink Cable is a brilliant, affordable solution for anyone who needs reliable, high-quality audio connectivity between TVs, soundbars, consoles, or AV receivers. Highly recommended!

Thick and flexible
These are nice cables. Thick and flexible, long enough to reach round the new tv setup i have. Its toslink digital optical so the sound is as good as anything else meeting the spec, don't fall for the nonsense. The only issue was the connectors, while chunky and durable there were some tight spaces close to mounting hardware where i had to use skinnier ended cables. Not really this products fault so still 5 stars :)

A Much Needed Cable 🔊...
I was gifted a new soundbar yesterday by a friend so was only lacking an optical cable, was grateful to stumble upon this & snapped it up for same day delivery today...It works an absolute treat, simple to connect with a good click on both ends.Got the 1.83 meter length cable which is perfect plus a good amount of give if needed with plenty of flexibility, feels sturdy as well.I'm taking one star off purely for the very bad delivery of my product to the neighbouring house across the street from mine! The lovely neighbour in question even said they tried to tell the delivery person it was the wrong address but they didn't even stop to listen & couldn't wait to get away.Amazon this may be the first time it's happened but consider me really disappointed in this specific element of your service.Retrain your drivers to actually pay closer attention to the correct address so it's not dropped off at the adjacent address nearby!

Great quality and works perfectly
This cable is perfect for connecting a TV to a soundbar. It feels well-made, the connectors fit securely, and the sound quality is excellent with no issues. The cable is also flexible, making it easy to set up without any hassle. It was simple to plug in and worked straight away, with no fiddling needed. The protective caps on the ends are a nice touch to keep it in good condition when not in use.For the price, it’s really good value and does the job just as well as more expensive options. Highly recommended!

Does not make a good connection
I bought this to use with an optical splitter. This cable goes from the splitter to a DAC and a different cable goes from the splitter to a soundbar. I never have a problem with the connection to the soundbar, but every time I try and use the DAC, I have to waggle the Amazon cable before it connects and I get any sound.
