Q: It says to use a 5/16 or 3/8 inch glass shelf. Will this thickness range make the screw stick out below? No instructions came with it.

Yes screw sticks out about 3/16 when holding 3/8 width shelf

Hi sorry for the delay in responding. They are one bracket per package.We used 2 for a 2 foot shelf. For 3 feet I would use atleast 3

Q: Hello. What is the distance betweens screws (if there are 2) inside the bracket?

There are two screws - one holds the bracket to the wall, the other holds the shelf in place. The distance between the head of the wall screw and the stem of the bracket screw is about 1/2". I had to eyeball it because the brackets are still holding up our shelves.
