Excellent succulent soil!
I have large indoor & outdoor succulent gardens, all in pots. The varieties I collect are echeveria, graptoveria, pachyveria/phytum, graptopetalum, cotyledon, senecio, crassula, several "string" plants, & a few small cacti. Over the 3 years since I began succulent collecting & growing as a hobby I have tried MANY different kinds of potting media, from the cheapest big box store stuff to the spendier Bonsai Jack gritty mix. Hands down, this stuff gets the best results. One caveat: I do mix this with inorganic media when potting, the ratio of each depending upon the type of plant. This soil is too dense & rich all on it's own, so I always add pumice or Calibonsai's fantastic lava blend in at least a 50/50 mix. Since I began using this my plants have THRIVED. Their leaves are nice a chubby, and they're producing more offsets. Whatever witchcraft is in this stuff, I love it!Another area where this soil shines: propagation! Whether I'm doing leaf, cutting, or stem propagation this is my go-to. New offsets & cuttings form nice fluffy thick roots very fast. The propagation trays where I use this soil vs. another are immediately obvious: my leaf & stem props are larger, fatter, & more colorful than their counterparts. Wish I'd discovered this stuff long ago. Thus far my soil has shipped fast without any bag breakage. I've never found or had a later issue with pests in the soil. (I do use a systemic insect killer in my pots though.) I recommend this soil highly for succulent lovers, though I definitely would mix it with pumice, perlite, etc to increase drainage & airflow. Happy planting!

Great stuff.
I love this stuff. My cacti grow like crazy. Only bad thing is it's expensive for how much you get in the bag.

Great product
I always look to experiment with different soils to see which works better for my succulents. I used it by itself first bit it dries very hard and cakey. Then mixed it with miracle gro. That worked great. It gives the plants some extra nutrients, helps with the drainage but doesn't get cakey after mixing it. They sure seem to thrive well in it.

Great for my baby century plant and more
My century plant bloomed this year and at the very top of the bloom about 20 feet in the air, it "held" two little baby century plants pups. We had to cut the "spear" down as it was leaning over the sidewalk, and these fell off. I was heartbroken to see my big century plant on the last days of life, yet was so excited to see these baby pups. I bought this succulent mix in hopes to keep these guys alive and they are "taking root" and doing well. See photo in dirt and then I repotted in the succulent mix. It does a great job keeping the plants for sitting in wetness. I also used for other growing century plants who are happy as well.
