Works well and is durable.
I use this on an AR-15 hunting hogs and such at night. I've had the same one for over 6 years and have been hunting about 1,000 nights with it (I have many places nearby to hunt...it's easy to get out several nights a week if not nightly). The mount has worn and doesn't *click* into place anymore, it just slides on but it stays. It sometimes falls off when I lay the rifle next to a hog for a proof picture and I've had to walk back to find it (thank God). I've hung it crossing barbed wire fences but it's still in great shape. I reload so losing brass in fields isn't conducive to that; this is worth it's weight in gold. The quick on-off is great for stowing the rifle in my truck and not lying on a weird angle. I just bought a second one to rig up a day rifle...yeah, I like these catchers. I tried a velcro attached unit from Caldwell for awhile but I hated it...although a friend I hunt with likes his velcro unit just fine.

easy ti install works great
I got this for my AR15 and it installs easily and works great. I took it to an indoor range and killed a lot of paper and didn't have to empty it until I was through. I didn't spend a lot of time there; but, I went through a couple of hundred rounds I think. It was a while ago and I don't remember specifically. I love how you can take the catch bag off and leave the mount on for next time or quick easy emptying for a longer session of shooting. It fits far up on the rail and probably wouldn't get in the way for most people to just leave in place, so next time at the range you slide the catch bag on and have fun and keep hold of all your brass.

Good product
Exactly what I was needing to prevent the loss of valuable spent brass.

Very handy, works great for my shooting style
Based upon some of the other reviews of this catcher melting in use, I was a little apprehensive about purchasing one. However, there's nothing else exactly like this on the market that I could find, so I figured I'd give it a try and if necessary place some reinforcement in the bag if small holes developed. I have a scope mounted on my AR with an offset mount, and the mounting scheme this catcher uses is ideal for being able to make use of just about any available spot with a couple of adjacent slots on the main rail. As a result, it was easy to mount and line up properly over the ejection port. Took it out to do a little shooting and it was truly a beautiful thing not to have to go searching for brass in the weeds! Put about three boxes of rounds downrange, using a reasonable rate of fire (one or two rounds, every few seconds or so), and had absolutely no problems with the bag melting. I would imagine a rapid fire mag of 30 rounds would generate a lot more heat, and that is probably what damages the bag. But for my purposes, it works perfectly. The only reason for the four stars vs five is that I believe the cost of this item, especially an extra rail mount, is a bit high; and I have no doubt that for the price a more durable fabric could have been used that wouldn't be affected by a higher rate of fire. That said, it's definitely an otherwise well-designed piece of equipment, and extremely handy if you're firing brass casings and want to easily recover them.

Solid option. Much better than cheap versions.
Got this the day before i took it out to the range.Much better than the last one I tried. The cheap Chinese brass catcher I accidently bought didn't work whatsoever. Constant stove-piping with that item. No feeding problems with this one. This item looks well constructed and functions normally. No feeding issues. Holds more cases than I can affordably shoot in a day and adjusted perfectly even with my 1 piece scope mount.I have a nicon scope mount and I didn't think this would adjust to fit but it fit well with adjustment to spare. The picures can be a little confusing but there is one movable bracket that moves roughly 5" from one end of the catcher to the other and helps with making the bag fit to your rifle. No feeding issues, cases went right into the bag. I moved the bag closer and farther from the receiver with no noticeable difference in operation. Seems to hold more rounds than most people would want it to before emptying.Only issue is that the adjustment screws for the bracket that connects to the rail adapter come loose quickly. Even when loose it works and kind of almost makes it easier to take off and put back on constantly (range shooting) but the screws will need to be lock tighted to keep them from coming too loose and possibly falling out.I noticed one of the vet shooter's at my range using this model. Everything I've seen tells me this is a solid purchase.

Placed this on my cz scorpion 3+
It catches all the brass I can throw at it. Dumped 3 40rd mags of 9mm caught every single case did not disappoint. Was about 1/3 full after that.
