Perfect for Holidays
I recently took the Casio GBD-200-1ER on holiday, and it was absolutely perfect. As someone with ageing eyes, I’ve always struggled to read the older digital displays on Casio watches, but the new MIP (Memory In Pixel) display on this model is a total game-changer. The numbers are larger, clearer, and much easier to read, even in bright sunlight, which makes it ideal for anyone with visual challenges. The step counter was incredibly useful, especially during long sightseeing days. It helped me keep track of my activity while I explored the city. The dual zone time feature was another great addition—perfect for keeping track of time back home while traveling. The water resistance came in handy when I was swimming or caught in the rain, and the watch is lightweight, comfortable, and durable. The strap also deserves a mention. It offers plenty of adjustments, making it easy to find the perfect fit for any wrist size, ensuring a snug and comfortable wear throughout the day."Pros:MIP (Memory In Pixel) Display: Large, clear, and easy to read, even in bright sunlight, which is perfect for those with ageing eyes.Step Counter: A helpful feature for tracking activity during long sightseeing days.Dual Zone Time: Great for keeping track of time both at home and at your travel destination.Water Resistance: Handy for swimming, rainy weather, and general peace of mind.Lightweight and Comfortable: Durable design that’s easy to wear all day.Adjustable Strap: Plenty of adjustments for a perfect, comfortable fit.Reliable and Functional: Great for both everyday use and travel.Cons:No Solar Power: Would be a nice addition for the next model to eliminate the need for battery changes.Date format: I can't change the date format to DD/MM. I'm from UK. The default is US format MM/DD. This is available on other G Shocks so don't see any reason why it's not on this model.Overall:I’m thoroughly impressed with the Casio GBD-200-1ER. It’s a great travel companion with its MIP display, step counter, and dual zone time feature. The only thing missing is solar power, which I hope to see in the next model. Still, this watch offers fantastic value and practicality. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a functional, stylish, and reliable digital watch.

What a watch!
Always love g shock. And this one is no exception. The retro look, plus step counter, light, and all the functionality you'd expect from a g shock. I love the clarity outdoors, it's pin sharp. Only thing missing is solar charging. Battery estimated 2 years.

A lovely watch that met my expectation even beyond! A value for money, readable and crystal clear and very comfy on the wrist.

Finally! A readable negative screen
The new type of screen is GREAT! I had another G-shock buy the negative screen was awful, a gimmick that didn't work. Now the screen makes the whole watch beautifully black and the main screen is EXTRA LARGE DIGITS for easy reading. The strap is uncomfortable for the first few days, it digs in on the underside buckle - but after a few days it seems to fit beautifully.the design is great - as usual with casio, there is no option to have the date in a correct format for europe. I contacted Casio on one of their chat systems and they basically said, thats how we read the date in Japan, where the casio is based, screw you. Thanks casio. The training functions are useful if you actually run - for gym workouts you can set a vibration interval timer but it's pretty basic. A really good dumb smart watch - i love the find phone feature, very useful. The notifications are a disaster, really badly designed.Apart from the backwards date glaring at you from every screen, I love this watch. Shame there's absolutely no chance of swapping the strap for anything but the exact same strap. No other strap on the planet will fit.7 out of ten. My fave G-Shock Square yet.

Best watch I have owned.
Absolutely love this watch, I've had a number of G-Shocks over the years and this is simply the best of the lot.The main display is stunning and perfect for someone who has bad close up vision.Only downside, and its a minor one, is that the auto light times out after 5 hours.Excellent watch, highly recommend.

Love it
Digits are big, watch feels light for it's size, and it does basic stuff perfectly. I only use time, date, stopwatch (stores the times, and via bluetooth can transfer it into phone). Other than that, has got light that in night light the digits more than enough to be readable. Very happy with it, and wearing it daily.

Slimline profile - but BIG easy read digits
Slimline, 20Bar water resistant, easy to read.Looks chunky and big in pics, but in real life wears very neat and slimline (for a G-shock).Lightweight compared to my old G shock.Being a bit of an old g1t I really appreciate how easy to read the time with its BIG DIGITS.Although it has more functions than Concorde, I will only be using the home screen.I bought the watch solely for it's looks.Should get yonks out of the battery as I won't be draining it with blue tooth links and all that jazz- it's just being used as a timepiece and I'm happy with it for that.Date is in the 'Month' then 'Day of Month' formatbut as long as I say 'Month' then 'Day of Month' in my head...all is well ; )I really like this watch and recommend it to anyone.
