Q: The picture shows 600 mah on the batteries themselves, so could you just confirm that they are 500 mah? i’m getting them for a friend. thank you.

My batteries read DC 2.4V 500Ah. However, I looked back at the description information from my order and it the Uniden # and the model BT 1007 is the same. However, the picture on my order of the batteries read 600Ah too, but I received the 500Ah batteries, so maybe it was just the picture that is incorrect.

Q: in the discreption said 1 AA battery required. What for?

The description says 2 AA batteries are required, and that's exactly what you get -- each rectangular battery pack contains 2 AA rechargeable batteries, packaged together in a plastic outer cover. This order is for a pair of battery packs so you get the equivalent of 4 AA batteries.
