Easy To Install
7 Oct 24- It got to the point, over several weeks, where we could not adjust the water temperature in our shower. It stayed hot no matter where we adjusted the control knob. These parts are compatible replacement parts for the Elliston Model #72783-CP shower kit (K-304) by Kohler. The mixer was causing the problem, but I replaced both parts. The kit comes with everything you will need, except the tools. YouTube has some good videos on how to replace the parts. Best price I could find! 5-stars.

Took care of the leak
We had a leak from the shower head and initially thought it was the shower head. But later found out that it was the mixer/pressure kit. This kit was 1/3 the price of the Kohler and worked out just fine. No more leak!

Not kohler so don't expect much
NOT KOHLER! proffesional plumber installed, began dripping rapidly after having not even used it. Buyer late night attempted repair, I didn't see anything wrong but cleaned it up and greased and installed the new extra O rings that came with it. No difference at all. thee exact same amount of drippage even after a 3rd attempt. crap. now a night of noisy drips until I go and find a kohler part.

Product works excellent
I had a shower that would not get warm. I tore the shower handle off and looked at the cartridge and Pressure Balancing Unit (PBU). Both looked good with no obstructions. I put it back on and still no hot water. The cartridge was fairly straight forward so I focused on the PBU (the part in the back). I removed the four screws and split it in half only to find that the metal washer inside had rusted and broke in six different pieces. One of the pieces was blocking the hot portion of the PBU. I replaced both the cartridge and the PBU. Water works great. No leaks. All for half the price of the boxed stores.

Leaks
Just a few months in and my shower is leaking. It has been years since I have experienced a modern shower that leaks, but that’s my situation after having this valve installed by a professional plumber. Perhaps I am the exception, but next time i will stick with OEM.
