Window Air Conditioner, 88 lbs, Designed 5,000 to 10,000 BTU Sized Units, Small/Medium AC Support Bracket

This product is great. It is a little finicky figuring out which combination of bolt placement works best, but once you have that figured out, you only have to screw it to a piece of wood that will fit on top of the window sill inside the window. I performed a rip cut on a 2 by 2 to make a 2 by 1 which I used. I recommend piloting holes and using screws that go all the way through and cutting them off on the other side with an angle grinder. It's a removable mount for a sixth the price of the mounts meant to be removable, so I can put my window unit in the window for a couple hours, then remove it.

We upgraded our AC unit to a bigger one. Our house is old and our windows are wooden. This bracket was just the thing to make the installation secure. Installation is easy.You install this and then the AC unit.

Es un producto resistente. Pero en la ventana q yo lo puse es una ventana de las más viejitas y tiene un marquito en medio donde corre la ventana para abrir y cerrar. No pude poner el soporte por dentro de el marco de adentro pues soporte quedaría alto y me quedaría un espacio muy grande entre aire y marco de ventana no lo pudiera tapar y aire se saliera por ahí como pude lo puse en marco de afuera pero es muy angostito a penas logre atornillado pero el soporte esta fuerte solo q no es lo bastante largo como se mira en el video.

Its ok for special windows but it would be better to use two shelf braces and wood shelf

This may have been the most unneccessarily complicated thing to use that I've ever purchased. I made it work but I had to have a 4x4 in piece of wood block to mount between the lower arm and the wall because it wound not adjust far enough out to do the job. This was used on a very small new 5000 btu a.c. Too complicated to put together, had to modify it to work. I would certainly not ever buy this again. Had I not been midway through the ac install I would have sent it back for a refund. I also wonder why, with reviews this poor, Amazon would allow this to appear with the "customers who purchased this also purchased...." Not doing a very good job of policing poor products for the customer.

I researched all the a/c mounts/brackets and I decided to get this one. I got it late last year so I didn't have time to install it before winter. So I just installed it now and it could not have been the most perfect mount I ever used. It is very sturdy and VERY adjustable to almost any location you need to put this. The huge benefit if this product is the glass bubble level - you need to make sure it tips the a/c unit down a little at the rear so that the normal condensation that drips inside the unit will properly drain to the back of the a/c and out the rear little holes. Otherwise it will rust inside and possibly leak in your house.Just get this bracket and you will not be disappointed!

I have bought three support brackets, this being my third. I wish it was my first. It would be the only type of bracket. Unfortunately the first two did not have the back wing that goes across back of AC that is installed. That alone is reason to choose this one, my others are just a straight bar about 3-4 inches across so it is like a teeter totter balancing. The back support wing solves that problem, especially if mounting unit is not on ground floor. I have not even installed it yet but can tell by looking at it that it is the best bracket for a small AC unit. Screws are longer and more heavy duty than what came with other brackets
