Excels at heating and maintaining desired temps but usability could use a little work
I almost gave this a 4-star rating just because its usability (intuitiveness in controls) is a little lacking. It's just not very apparent whether its on or off. And when it's on it's not very intuitive in communicating how you set the temp you want. But, you figure it out from trial and error (which is the definition of bad usability) and it does a great job of quickly heating and maintaining the temperature you set. I also like the audible cue (beep) that tells you the kettle reached the desired temperature (of course this is the same beep you'll hear when its about to turn off). The spout is the other design aspect I like (a lot)? It's perfect for controlling the water rate and position as you use it for "pour-over" coffee. This is primarily how I use it. This product is very accurate in achieving the temperature you set (once you figure out how to set the temp). I would have given this a 4-Star based on the usability factor but because it does its core function (heating and maintaining specific temperatures) so well, I gave it 5-Stars.

Good product, well made
Been a regular kettle person forever, but bought this to make pour-over coffee because my old kettle was too clunky to pour accurately enough. It's pretty great - clean, fast, lightweight. Two small issues: it's hard to read the maximum level mark on the inside unless the light is just right, and, when you have used the water up, you have to turn the machine off instantly when you return the kettle to the base, or it will start beeping and won't stop until you unplug it and leave it unplugged for a while.

Great kettle; confusing safety feature
5 Stars for usability;3 Stars for design of safety function. We got this Kettle since we are making our own pour-over coffee lately. We picked the kettle because of its 1L capacity, which fits our 4 cup morning requirement. The settings, the quality of the pot, and how it keeps the water at set temperature we really like and appreciate. It has safety features too - like checking for over-temperature… and here is where the problem appears, operationally. It looks like if the kettle goes over temperature, the power control flashes, and a warning message. It doesn’t appear you can turn this off. The first time, we unplugged the device, plugged it back in, and set our desired temperature again (a nice thing: it remembers your last temp setting from day to day). The second time this happened - it was after the final pour of the remaining water we use for coffee, and after we’d turned the device off and it was off for a minute or so. Frustrated, I took the kettle off the base, waited, only to find the power lockout, and warning message. I then poured a little cold water in the kettle - the warning ceased, and the power light went off. It seems for safety, they warn of over-temperature even after shutting down. That’s reasonable, given the electronic (not mechanical) controls. It doesn’t happen often, but it does happen, so be aware of this (we set 205F for pour-over coffee). The kettle, construction, and use we like a lot. This is a minor annoyance, once you understand what it is trying to protect against. That it comes on some time after powering off can be confusing - but we get it.

Not fun to use due to terrible design
UPDATE: 5/26/22:I hate this thing.I started getting more into home pour-over recently. I was using my girlfriend's basic Hario V60 "Buono" Drip Kettle Electric Gooseneck, but I wanted something with more capacity and with a temperature display and hold feature. So, I looked around a lot. I didn't want to spend more than $100. I see this one is regularly $99, but Amazon has it on discount for $73. After reading mostly positive reviews, I go for it.I wish I hadn't. It's kind of really annoying to use in the morning. You just need to pay attention so much for a simple pour.First off, if you fill the water over the line by 1 friggin' micron you're going to have spill out of the top of the kettle all over, burning yourself. Guess where they put the line markings? On the handle side... The side that faces away from you as you fill it....To make matters worse, the neck is very vertical on this kettle. You really need to tilt it to pour, so it's always a possibility for leaking even when you're below the fill line. They should have made the spout extended at a less steep angle.Second, you need to put the top back on a very specific way and match up two arrows exactly.... Who wants to be fussing with this type of stuff every time you make coffee?! It make it not fun and a chore. "Be super careful, put the lid on exactly right!" Ugh...The actual functions of the base are fine, but I have a sneaking suspicion the temp isn't really accurate and under 212.In the end, my girlfriend said "oh at least it looks nice" so if you're one of those type that cares more about form over function maybe this is fine. For me, however, I would recommend against buying this product.

Very Nice Kettle
Definitely a little pricey but it works and looks great. I can heat water to the perfect temp for tea or french press and the volume is comparable to most cheaper kettles.
