Here’s an instance when an ingredient list should be included with the product description. What’s detailed there are all the wonderful things this serum has in it—like dead sea minerals, collagen, plant extracts and vitamin E. That made it sound like something my dry, middle-aged face wanted to try. But the instant I applied some to my face I knew what the main ingredients really are—many different types of dimethicone and cyclopentasiloxane. If you’re not familiar with these silicone based polymers, they’re commonly found in beauty products, like hair oils. They provide a slippery, lightweight feel—in this serum’s case, it makes skin feel silky soft and hydrated.Unfortunately, these are cheap fillers. I avoid them in facial products because they trap debris in pores by forming a barrier on top of skin. That locks in moisture, but can also trap in dirt, sweat, bacteria and sebum. Past experiences with silicone facial products have caused my skin to break out, and that’s when I researched their value. There are other drawbacks to silicones as well, but the one I just mentioned is a deal-breaker for me.Had there been an accurate, full ingredient list with the Amazon product description, I never would have ordered the serum. All the good things found in this serum are listed last—I’ve included a photo showing the ingredient list. The only place you’ll find that list is on the throw-away box the bottle comes in.

Other cosmetic companies should take notice!Anyway, it’s also interesting that the product includes Dead Sea mud that “contains high concentrations of up to 26 different beneficial minerals, such as sodium, potassium and magnesium.”I’m not sure about the anti-aging benefits of the product. Below is what I read on the internet about Dead Sea mud:“Through research at the Dead Sea Research Center, scientists have found out that Dead Sea mud is excellent for reducing* inflammation and improving* the symptoms of psoriasis. It is also a powerful way to hydrate the skin and remove* any rough patches.”I must say that, along with the Dead Sea mud, there are a host of toxic-sounding ingredients on the list that I can’t pronounce.Funny though, I have an all-natural serum that I have been using, but I tend to reach for the Health & Beauty Lifting & Firming Silk Serum instead. I can’t get over how rich it feels on my face. It also keeps it nicely hydrated without an oily residue.💕💕Skin care is a personal affair, so I can’t recommend nor can I not recommend this serum. However, the serum is an iffy product, and I think there are way too many better skin care options on the market. 4 stars

I used so many different serum … it is the best with an amazing value

I am a skincare junkie.  Despite my best efforts at organizing the mess, my bathroom vanity is always cluttered with the latest products I am trying.  Because, although I have plenty of lotions and potions I already love and use regularly, you never know when that life-changing holy grail product might come sashaying into your life, and you gotta be there to meet it.  My point is that I have tried literally hundreds of skincare products over the last couple of years, and I have never--NEVER--felt a product like this.Other reviewers have brought up concerns over some of the ingredients in this serum.  I am not here to disagree with them, and I generally share their concerns about the ingredients in products we use on our bodies.  But holy moly...this serum is so unbelievably silky!  It feels so amazing that I almost don't care what's in it!  I mean, okay, I DO care, but...wow.  You have to feel it to believe it.  I don't wear a lot of makeup, but the one time I did wear it recently, I wore this serum as a base, almost like a primer.  I did think my makeup looked better that day, and that it lasted longer without sinking down into my wrinkles and lines.  And I think my skin loves it without makeup, too.  The only trouble I have is keeping my hands off my face while wearing it because it makes my skin feel so incredibly smooth!Problematic ingredients notwithstanding, this serum is chock full of good stuff, too.  Gotu Kola, sunflower seed oil, rose hip oil, calendula, horse chestnut seed extract, and vitamin E  work together to increase collagen production, lift and tighten skin, and smooth out wrinkles and lines.  It is paraben-free, and it smells fantastic, too. Best of all is that all H&B products are 100% cruelty-free!H&B Lifting & Firming Silk Serum might not change the health or condition of my skin in the long term.  In fact, thanks to the silicones in it, I might even experience breakouts and congestion, so I will use this product somewhat sparingly, at least until I know how well my skin can tolerate it.  But boy, oh boy...I will enjoy it so much when I do use it!  It's on the expensive side, but if your finances are loose enough to afford it, give this serum a try and get ready to love how silky your skin feels!I hope my experience with this product might help YOU make a more informed purchase.  Happy shopping!

A product from Israel and my wife and I are glad to see this Lifting and Firming Serum from Dead Sea Minerals is marketed toward both men and women. After all skin is skin and I must add that ladies really don’t typically like their guys to be first cousins of sandpaper! Although the ingredients includes some natural ingredients in modest quantities such as Gotu Kola, we hope Dead Sea Minerals will soon list the full ingredients hierarchy here so consumers can have a look at the complete product details. The package reveals the info with the common polymer Dimethicone as the most prevalent ingredient followed by a mostly lab oriented approach to moisturizing.
