PS4 100% Compatible and Wallet Friendly
I bought this to connect my Kuromi Kraken Kitty Bluetooth Razer headset to my PlayStation 4 and it works very well and they give you very detailed instructions on how to set it up and the set up was pretty easy. Idk about everybody else but mines never came broken and came in one piece. I’ve seen different sellers with this exact product but some people reported that it came broken and what not but if you wanna use your headset you better take that chance because baby I was desperate. The sound quality is amazing all of my friends say they can hear me loud and clear and the price is wallet friendly especially on such short notice. The compatibility is 100% functional made especially for the PS4 the instructions were made just for the PS4 and only talks about how to connect it to the PS4 so PlayStation users have no worry. I’m pretty sure it works with PS5 too but just wanted to point out that the instructions were written specifically on how to connect the dongle to the PS4 with detailed navigation to the settings of the PS4. I hope this helps anyone.

Do NOT use a USB hub, connect directly to the PS4. I use a PS4 slim.
I had one minor issue which was not the fault of the directions provided.I use a USB hub designed for the slant of the PS4 slim. My spare U8 Bluetooth earbuds appeared to connect just fine. No rapid blinking, as the directions say, but still connected with the steady blinking stopping when my earbuds announced as connected. There was no sound, but the microphone test worked just fine. The end result is that the USB adapter had to be connected directly to the PS4 and not to the USB hub. When connected to a USB hub the setting do not have the USB headphones setting (USB Composite Device), just TV or TV amplifier. After disconnecting the USB hub and plugging the USB adapter directly to the PS4 the setting on the directions appeared and the sound worked.PS4 settings:From your home screen upon login go to1) Settings2) Devices3) Audio Devicesa) output set to (USB Composite Device)I set the volume control to max and adjust on the U8 earbuds to a comfortable level with no issues.I hope this helps.Photos provided.

Not as clear cut as the directions say
Let me start by saying I don't play the PS4, but my 9 year old daughter does. I was kind of going into this blindly after watching a couple of YouTube videos. With the price, I figured it would be worth a try. The USB part is a tight squeeze into the PS4 port. Once I got it plugged in it did the slow blue flash. I followed the directions and it never did the rapid blue flashing. Much like other reviewers, I tried everything and got very frustrated. I ended up just going ahead and turning on the bluetooth headset I was trying to connect and putting it into pairing mode. I unplugged the USB dongle and plugged it back in and after pushing the button a few times the bluetooth set said it was paired and the a solid blue light showed on the USB part! Now the next step was to pair the other bluetooth sets I have. The best way I found to do it was to turn off the set I already got to pair, turn on and put the next set into pairing mode, unplug the USB part of the dongle and plug it back in again, if it didn't automatically pair, press the button on the USB part until it did. Rinse and repeat for each bluetooth set. I was able to pair 5 different sets fairly easily. The USB part of the dongle NEVER rapid flashed blue with any of the pairings I was doing. I will also note that I was very confused at first as to why I couldn't hear myself very well when adjusting the mic settings on the PS4 but I could hear my daughter behind me clear as day. Then I realized the aux that is plugged into the PS4 controller that she had in her hand is where the mic is! Like I said, this is all new to me. But the light at the end of the tunnel is that if I could figure it out you can too! Hope this can help someone else.

Works with ps5 and AirPods Max!
I’m a casual gamer, don’t need the extra special gaming headphones, but do like to play when my boyfriend is sleeping without disturbing him sometimes. I figured why not buy an affordable adapter. It was a fast and easy set up. What worked for me was plugging usb receiver into ps5, putting AirPods in pairing mode by holding down the noise control button till white, hold close to receiver and press and let go until receiver button stops blinking and headphone light turns green, headphones should be paired, then continue with controller receiver. So far works great, no issues with connection. Sounds good with a bit of volume tweaking in the sound menu. Worth the price! Hope this helps!

Actually worked on PS4, with old QCY headphones
Saying this ahead of time: THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE WRONG.The instructions say, "[...] press the dongle button 2 seconds, the LED indicator flashes quickly," and yet I could NOT get it to do exactly that; it stayed as a slow blinking blue light. So I held the button longer, thinking maybe that would work. No. Tried rebooting my PS4 with it still attached into the USB slot, and reworking the button. Nope! Instead, I just pressed the button quickly, less than 2 seconds, and it began rapidly flashing. Then I put my QCY (QY8) headphones into pairing mode, put the second smaller device into the PS4 remote, followed the settings guide, and tested it on an MP4 in Media Player. It worked. Maybe it's slightly lagging, I'm not sure. Not noticeable enough for me to care.I'm knocking 2 stars down because they need to fix the instructions, or put a notice on the item page addressing the problem. It's a great product that patches a major gap in PS4 functionality, but it's downgraded by lousy instructions that turn it into guess work. This would be a 5 star review otherwise, because it turns the aging PS4 into a good media player and extends its usefulness, while also working just fine with cheap headphones.
