Immediate Satisfaction
I watched some YouTube videos on how to use these effectively, and then received it late morning. By 2pm, the trap had triggered and I had one fewer mole in my yard. I’ve already got it set for one of the 4+ other moles wreaking havoc.I had tried poison, deterrent, and the huge smoke bombs. The poison and deterrent didn’t seem to make a difference. The smoke bombs were extremely entertaining when paired with a leaf blower. I could see the smoke come out of the ground all over the place, which told me they have an extensive network. However entertaining, they were ineffective. The deadest trap, on the other hand, clearly produced indisputable results within a couple of hours. Even if it were to break every other use, it would still be a better value than the alternatives. And this beast isn’t breaking any time soon, judging from how sturdy it feels, so the moles won’t get any reprieves between deliveries!

Junk
DO NOT purchase this trap. Broke on first use. Cheap plastic. DO NOT purchase. COMPLETE waste of money.

Easy to use but not quality
I like that these are easier to use than there metal counter parts, but they are not as durable. The metal ones can be difficult to work with, but I have gotten quite good with them and prefer them over this version. I bought this one because they are easier to set, but the design decision to create the legs out of plastic was a poor decision. While the ability to step on the foot pegs and shove the trap deeper into the ground is nice compared to the metal ones, it has a chance to snap the plastic legs which is what happened to me. We have had a lack of rain were I live and the ground has been quite hard. Plastic legs do not go well into the hard dry ground. One of the legs has broken off with no good way to reattach it. I am still able to use the trap with one leg, but if the other pops off it will be useless.

Works like a boss!
Really happy with this product. I said it in our front lawn we ran a quick errand and as we were driving up on the way home I noticed that it had been triggered. We were gone for about 45 minutes tops and the only problem is I dug up what was underneath it and it was still squirming I think it was a mole or shrew it’s pretty big and ugly anyways I had to go upstairs grab my pellet gun and put a 177 in it.It was really easy to use the only problem is it’s set the first time I pulled it up and then the second time it wouldn’t sat and got jammed and then I finally got it to set and we got our kill I would definitely try this verse is that old other one that’s made of metal because the metal bends too easily.

Best mole Killer for Middle Tennessee
I've used four different types of mole "traps" and this is the best so far. The scissors type doesn't work in clay soil, the snare type seems to be made for a different variety of mole, plus they require digging holes worse than the moles. The newer all metal Victor Plunge traps are made of flimsy metal and weak springs that don't penetrate the mole. I have an older more robust Victor all metal plunger trap that does work if you set everything perfectly. I had to polish the trigger mechanism on these mostly plastic traps to get them to spring reliably. Initially moles would burrow right under the trigger to no effect. These are much easier to set. That's not to say one does not have to use some finesse. When depressing the mole run one must accurately ascertain the actual tunnel, which is often offset from the raised earth. I also sharpened the tines to needle sharpness. The tines are flimsy and I can see how they might not last years. This season I have killed 10 moles in my 1/2 acre lawn. Currently am mole free but I check at least 3x a week. Once the lawn has a maze of mole runs it's hard to know where to set the traps. I now have five traps and saturate the runs every few feet as soon as possible. My son kids me about acting out scenes from Caddyshack.

Great Design if the Spikes didnt Bend and Fall off after a few uses
Its a great design and easy to use. The only thing is the spikes bend and then come off only after a few uses. I only used this one maybe 3 to 5 times as the most (see picture). If there was a way to replace the spikes this would be a wonderful product. Victors designers need to figure a way to make the spikes more sturdy and last longer. Overall I am disappointed as now I got to engineer new spikes on this trap. I bought 5 of them and still can use this one here but very frustrating. I am going to use these and re engineer their spikes. Like I said Victor fix the spikes so they last longer maybe thicken them up with the top of the metal plate otherwise great and easy product to use.For those of you complaining you can kill them you need to go on youtube and watch how to kill them and tips and tricks. The moles can be very clever in their traps plus you got to buy multiple traps.
