Does exactly what you need it to
I've had this mouse for just over 2 years, and for a 20 quid mouse, the fact its only now starting to conk out a bit (scroll wheels gotten a bit jumpy) is pretty good going. For a budget gaming mouse, it does the job well. No issues with responsivity, fits well in my hand (which is on the somewhat small side, so the mouse being slightly bigger than I'd like makes it perfect for the average), comes with programmable side buttons which are great for the keybinds you dont have room for on the keyboard (melee in overwatch, for example).Overall, does what it needs to, no frills but no spills as it were.

Decent mouse, great for everyday use
I use the wireless one for work and this is great for gaming, even with a cable you don’t have to worry about disconnection while gaming or streaming, haven’t used it competitively but for general use it’s been great, love that if you have multiple razer products the colours change together, looks great

Best performing and most comfortable mouse for the price
I will first address a few comments I saw on other reviews:1. Someone said there was Chinese writing on the label at the bottom of the mouse. The one I got did not have this, all English text. Of course the mouse is made in China, but it's the English/international model.2. The plastic seems fine, yes there's no rubberised grips but this is the Essential one after all.3. All mouse buttons and scroll wheel feel fine and provide a satisfying meaty click. Perhaps Razer has now solved the quality control issues mentioned by a few others?I needed a replacement for my trusty old Intellimouse Explorer 3.0, and the Razer DeathAdder Essential not only fits the bill but is better in every way. The Teflon glide pads are smoother, the scroll wheel easier to use, side buttons in just the right place, and the 2 main buttons are perfectly contoured. This is an incredibly ergonomic and comfortable mouse, it's a bit on the light side and you can't install extra weights but it will be great for most people. The cable is not braided, but again you get what you pay for here.My only issue (and this is a very minor annoyance) is the Synapse 3 software. It's a bloated 369MB download and this software is the only way to set the DPI, but you can uninstall once DPI is set if you wish. The mouse has its own internal memory to remember many settings (including DPI) and this works with or without the software - great feature.I honestly don't think anything better exists at this price point. Unless you're used to very expensive mice or get paid to play games then you won't be disappointed! 5/5

Very comfortable mouse, but not without its downsides.
Before I bought this mouse, I had been using a DeathAdder chroma for the previous 4/5 years, and it had only started to show signs of wear and tear in the months leading up to getting a replacement. I decided to go for another DeathAdder when looking for a new mouse, as the old one was extremely comfortable and lasted me a long time.Firstly, the mouse itself. The design of the mouse is wonderful, and it fits the shape of my hand perfectly, resulting in the ability to use it for hours on end without any discomfort whatsoever. Additionally, the two buttons on the side of the mouse are perfect for gaming, and I've been using it as either an easily accessible Push To Talk button, or some keybinds for some more complicated games, eg Tarkov or building in fortnite.Having said that, after about 6 months of use the scroll wheel has started acting up, and will scroll up when I'm trying to scroll down occasionally, and vice versa. This is the only thing stopping me from giving the mouse 5/5, as while a minor thing, it becomes quite annoying when gaming, which I assume most people will be using this mouse for.Overall, I give it a 4.5/5.

Excellent mouse
Very solid, reliable and precise. An excellent choice, especially for the cost.

A Great Mouse
hi this a great mouse very responsive to the touch/click and for the price well worth paying the extra for over cheaper mice.i have the newer Elite model (link below) with the two middle sensitivity buttons which annoy me while gaming as they just got in the way (although they can be disabled with Razer software those buttons just annoyed me).https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01MECR863/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1I much prefer the older model here without the middle two sensitivity buttons and it costs a lot less.this will be my go to mouse for a long time to come great for gaming and just general use.only con is it dosen't have a 3rd thumb button.

Perfect present
I bought this product as a Christmas present for my brother and his face lit up when I gave it to him. He’s had a few different mouses over the years but this one he said said works the best, it doesn’t cut out while he’s gaming, it wasn’t too hard for him to adapt to and it’s comfortable to use. Overall this is a very good product, no regrets about buying it and would recommend if you’re looking for a computer mouse to get this one!

Cheaply built. Scroll wheel started squeaking after one week
Overall the mouse is cheaply built. It is a cheaper version of the original death adder. They used a cheaper plastic on it, which I understand as it is cheaper, no rubber grips and it doesn't have a braided cable. They used the same shape which I find very comfortable. My issue with it is that it's a bit clunky, the button presses aren't great (as per the original model) and the scroll wheel started squeaking after one week of use.You can get a better quality mouse for the price but maybe not as comfortable to hold as this one. However, if I had to choose I would choose quality over comfort.
