I use this chum bag to fish for Yellowtail and other reef fish in the Florida Keys. I typically put 2 blocks of coarsely ground chum in the net at a time to keep a good flow of chum going which keeps the fish behind the boat. I have tried all of the cheaper chum bag options and I have to say, this is worth the little more money you would pay to own a chum bag that works well and will last.There are 2 big advantages of this type of bag, the first one is the size of the holes. This allows the chum to flow freely, even those bigger chunks which really gets the fish fired up and ready to bite the bait you present. The second is the durable floating ring. The floating aspect helps keep the chum in the bag and the fixed ring allows you to load the bag quickly and easily. Usually I don't even have to touch the chum block, I can just open the box and let it roll into the bag, keeping my hands and the boat clean.When you're finished at the end of the day, just keep the chum bag attached to a rear cleat and let the force of the water on the ride home give it a nice cleaning. Those cheap other bags won't stand up to that kind of abuse, but this one will!

This works! I have always used the cheap white bags you get at the same store you buy chum from. This works 10 times better. It has one tenth the amount of leftover chum stuck to the chumbag when you are done! I load 1 box of chum, i just a few minutes the paper unsticks from the chum and i pull it out of the bag and put in trash. Then just let the chum flow in the current. Yellowtail, ballyhoo, sardines etc. build ecosystem behind the boat. Well thats chumming but this bag works the best. I keep a 4lb lead weight tied to long hand line. every once in a while i un-cleat the line and send it to the bottom. then i bring it up. Chum block never comes out and i attract a whole bunch of both bottom and mid water fish. This bag makes it easy.

Fine product. Easy to use, store, clean, and fairly priced. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the tether string. I’ve lost two because the string has broken and it drifted away.

Use it to chum in the FL Keys. Works great, can fit lots of chum and big holes to disperse the chum. Comes with a little rope and floats on the surface!
