Got it as I had a itchy eczema scalp and it worked a treat instantly in fact I am peri menopausal and condition of my hair was well thin and lack lustre now my hair is lovely soft and voluminous. The bottle lasts 2-3 months as a little is all it takes to produce a lovely lather. Unfortunately can no longer find on Amazon 🥲

As some who has suffered with intense dry/itchy scalp all my life, I have tried a number of different hair products, each with varying degrees of efficacy.This product is one of the best I have ever used with almost instant long last results.y scalp was very irritated when I first purchased this but it has been weeks now since I have had any issues.The best part of this shampoo is that I only have to wash my hair with this maybe once a week which keeps my scalp okay for almost two weeks. I would use a less intense shampoo/condition between uses of this as I think overusing this can be damaging to your hair health.There is a slight "tar" smell from this I should add and it does dry out you hair a lot after using itbut it is much preferable to the alternatives. For the dry hair issue you may or may not experience, I do recommend coconut oil as a solution.Overall a great product and I will be buying this again.

HATE the smell. But love the fact it soothes my scalp and reduces the flakes between washes significantly. It definitely has made a difference but I’d recommend using this shampoo on your scalp and then a nicer one on the ends of your hair, I go for this and a head and shoulders Apple combo.

This product is specifically designed with a medicated formula to help relieve scalp symptoms! I have been using it for a few days and immediately noticed that the itching has eased. I do tend to shower everyday and just a little amount “Teaspoon” lathers well, and the smell is not designed to be Roses or spring meadow! It is a medicated product that smells like a medicated product, and is far from being unpleasant! I actually quite like it. I write this review with my personal views, and will not suit everyone. Personally I would definitely recommend giving it a go. I had to come back to edit this review! Wow what can I say, I have been using this for about a month, and I can honestly say that I have zero flaky or itchy scalp symptoms whatsoever. This has worked amazingly well for me! I have just purchased another bottle, and will continue using this for the foreseeable future. All I can add is give it a go, you won’t be disappointed.

During menopause I started to get an itchy rash on my scalp, forehead and around ears. I tried many products over the year but they just didn't work. But I tried this product and was amazed at how good it was. One wash and within 2 days my rash had disappeared. It's an amazing product ! There is a slight tar smell, but not overpowering and it does disappear after a day, and to be honest it was well worth it. It's been a week and there's been no re-occurance and my hair looks healthy. I would really recommend this to anyone.

Did not work for me

From long time I have problems with dandruff. The shampoo works very well. It removes oily dandruff and the scalp is nice and clean. It cleanses the hair well and does not tangle it. They are easily disappointed. This shampoo is my discovery of the year! I highly recommend it to anyone who has dandruff and nothing works for it. Polytar will definitely be the best and effective! I was trying many different anty dandruff shampoo but any of them wasn't enough good. Accidentally I found polytar and bingo! Small bottle but Efficient because you don't wash your hair with it every day. My hair is thin so it lasted me a long time! The £10.oo was not a big expense in relation to the efficiency. You put a small amount of shampoo on your hand. Now I'm trying to buy it but it's out of stock everywhere! I was found on eBay but prices are ridiculously high! £18-20 per bottle. Jesus help me pls🙄. I promise you this will work. It is the best I have ever used and I now have it come on repeat order each month. After one wash so long as u leave it on for 5 minutes you will notice a difference. Then use again the next day. Use alone . Don’t use any other products. This is also meant to look like watery texture. That’s how it is made. It’s a fantastic product. It does have a strong smell but a medical type of smell but it’s clean smelling. This will reduce scales. Itching. Flakes . All of it. But you need to let it soak. And be consistent with it. I couldn’t use anything else ever again now. This has changed my life. And finally I can wear black again. Those who know , know
