Brilliant machine
Ideal tool for crafting and a welcome addition to my collection in the shed:). I'm inthe proces of making an intricate project out of welding electrodes soldered together. This is an ideal tool for it . Using it I can clean of the excess of solder, cut off bits sticking out and deburr the ends etc. It is very friendly to handle, it has the speed settings and the battery time is decent.

A very nice little drill
This is a chunky, easy to hold cordless mini drill. It is extremely powerful for its size, and its top speed is somewhat startling! None the less it packs a fair bit of torque and can drill/sand/grind most materials with ease - provided you let it take its own time. The keyless "Dremel" chuck is well worth buying for this - saves a lot of frustrating time messing around with the supplied collets and spanner. The led's in the nose are a great help.Once fully charged, it goes full chat for quite a while before needing a re-charge.Follow the instructions and DO NOT let the battery fully discharge, or you will never get a proper re-charge. Just put it on re-charge when the speed.torque starts to sag a little.I have to report that this review is based on my second drill. The first stopped dead - died in the middle of sanding a model. On contacting the vendors - they were extremely courteous and helpful - the drill was replaced with no argy bargy immediately. It took just four days to get working again.Once I had the replacement drill, I took a look inside the broken drill to see if there had been an electrical failure. It is easy enough to unscrew the rather weird headed self tappers holding the two halves of the drill case together. It would appear that the thin steel tag welded to one of the negative ends of the LiIon battery pack is bent through two right angles before being soldered to the pcb underneath. The battery pack and on/off switch moulding are soldered to the pcb with a layer of dense foam rubber between so as to provide some resilience when the on/off and speed buttons are pressed. This allows the steel battery connector to move up and down slightly - and the result being it has snapped right off at the right angle bend.A mechanical design flaw rather than an electrical failure which I first suspected.Hence the loss of one star.I would suggest the manufacturers of the drill look again at the design of the battery connectors.Otherwise this appears to be an excellent tool.

Damned good value
The media could not be loaded. I have a corded rotary tool and it gets used here and there for bits and bobs but i wanted a cordless one for use with my 3D printer to sand and cut the prints withought having to go to the cold garage This being pretty cheap and cheerful i though i would give it a go.First off because its cheap don't expect a nice little carry case or fancy huge selection of Attachments. Although the attachments that do come with it have their own little plastic box. you get the tool, charger, box of attachments and instructions. The unit itself has 5 speeds from 5000rpm to 25000 rpm. it turns on at 15000 rpm every time and you have to reset it to the other settings each time. The end has 4 LED lights, nothing hugely powerful but enough to highlight the working end. I still needed good overall workshop lights to work it.I have used it so far to drill a couple of holes (no drill bits included i used the ones from my other corded tools), i have used a cutting blade to cut a model piece off , I have used the rotary sanding tubes a few time now mostly on PLA models from the 3D printer, Although just finished with sanding off the Casting marks on an Aluminium Alloy Inlet manifold and it managed it fine. (video of it above)I'm still on my first full charge but its needing topped up now.Overall after a few days use im happy with it. if anything happens or changes ill come back and update my review.

I was skeptical about this
But am really happy. Nice and solid, great power and features. The only complaint is with the accessories, in particular the cutting disks which are very brittle. Have ordered some others to see what they are like. Tool itself is great

I was very happy
I was very happy with this rotary tool. It charges up well and lasts. It has done everything I have used it for so far without any issues, comes with a nice little selection of tools to get you started. However, when I next came to use it there was excessive vibration and since the warranty was now up I investigated myself. I found that somehow the spindle had bent, I am not sure how it happened but maybe that for some reason I kept pressing the chuck lock button instead of the power button. Might have been my own fault but the spindle snapped very easily when trying to straighten, In the bin just after 18months and 3 or 4 uses.

Powerful little tool
Tolls great, I wish it came with a few more chucks and the accessories are naff, but the body itself is great. Powerful, the lights a handy, feature too. My main gripe is it starts up at 50% speed which is fast, you then have to turn it up or down... I'd prefer it to start slow... Or remember my last setting. Arguably for this reason it's a bit unwieldy for modelling unless you have very stable hands and coordination

Lots of power. Good quality….until the battery dies.
*** UPDATE ***Having not used the tool for several years I charged it up and it fails to turn on. The battery pack is dead. I didn’t realise I’d bought a temporary, disposable item that ‘might’ only continue to work if you use it regularly. Buy cheap, buy often as they say ! Will keep my original review below.I'm loving this rotary too. It's very powerful on highest setting. I bought the dremel multi chuck to go with it but there's no need really. Very easy to swap collets anyway. So far I've found the battery to go a long way, so no issues there. The little box of attachments has the basics that you'll need. I polished up some jewellery and an old rusty pocket knife. Very pleased with the results. You can't go wrong with this.

Needs a UK plug!
It is not clear from the description that this item is delivered with a UK plug. It is not like we have a few random outlets for UK plugs in Sweden in our homes, instead this becomes useless without an adapter. Besides, the package was opened prior to being sent by Amazon, so that’s a bit weird too...
