From celebrated author Janette Oke (the Love Comes Softly series) comes a rigorous and romantic adventure as epic as the wide frontier. Erin Krakow (Army Wives), Daniel Lissing (Eye Candy), Jack Wagner (Melrose Place) and Lori Loughlin (Full House, 90210) star in When Calls the Heart, a beautiful story filled with "many of the values we all hold precious such as love, family, friendship, community, faith and caring about one another" (Military Press)! Hearties, rejoice! This six-DVD set collects all of the romance and drama from Year Five of the warm and wonderful When Calls the Heart. Return once again to the town of Hope Valley as schoolteacher Elizabeth (Krakow), Mountie Jack (Lissing), Café owner-turned-Mayor Abigail (Loughlin), and all of your favorite characters bravely face the challenges of frontier life…and those of the heart.

Heart Broken
I love each of the characters on When Calls the Heart. The ongoing series shows the beauty of love and redemption. Several characters have been given a "second chance" in life. I rejoice that Henry Gowen is showing his humanity and compassion thanks to Abigail. I love them all. The saddest, and most heartbreaking, episode is the one about Mountie Jack & Elizabeth Thornton at the end of the season. Jack is a hero and an outstanding example for every law enforcement officer today. Praise goes to Janette Oke for creating such wonderful characters and story lines!

Always new things happening.
I have enjoyed these movies. I really like the Christian values in these. And in the last DVD in this set, in the second half of the movie she gets word that Jack was killed in the line of duty. I believe they did a great job how they wrote that in the script. I also really appreciate how Elizabeth comes around with her healing on this. And the healing is a result of community involvement and support for her.

Heartwarming season
I love the series, When Calls the Heart- community, faith, forgiveness, redemption, healing, romance, and clean entertainment! The characters face challenges in each season, and this season is no different, but watching how they support each other is heartwarming. I actually think this season may be my favorite for the goodness portrayed in so many people. I hope more seasons come out!

I love this show
I have been watching this show on Hallmark for a few years now, I seen this season but bought it for my sister who no longer has cable. I love the true wholesomeness of this show. I would recommend this show to anyone who loves a happy ending (with a few moments of sadness), and a whole lot of smiles.

Love al of the When Calls the Heart!
I love all of the When calls the Heart movies. It is faith based and clean, something all the family can watch. It takes you back to a time of struggle, hardship and love for your neighbor, family and friends, even during the hard times. They put it into God's hands.

A Season of Change
This season doesn't have as much action (like gun-toting gangs) but focuses on relational issues. The themes we've come to expect--forgiveness, redemption, trust, sacrificial love--are again woven throughout the episodes. Does it sometimes feel too happy? Yeah. Can it come across as predictable? Often. Do we appreciate the humor, quirkiness, and acceptance? Yes. Year Five is consistent in its promotion of virtue and faith.I won't comment on the departing characters or the storyline itself. When Calls the Heart is still a family show with Biblical themes, as Season Five demonstrates.
