I got these 5-HTP supplements for my daughter who has trouble calming down and resting at night. She has been using 5-HTP supplements for a couple of years now and they really do help. What I really like about these Wonder Family supplements, though, is that they include lemon balm extract and gotu kola, which are both also great for calming and helping you rest better.I also like that this combination is less likely to be a problem with extended use than some other sleep aid supplements, as it is all natural with no fillers or added junk ingredients.This supplement is easy for my daughter to take and has no weird smells or aftertaste. The dosage is also very good for my daughter and acts quickly for her. For the price, this is a value. Highly recommended.

I must say, I've had great results with this product. I've tried other 5-HTP supplements in the past to help with sleep but I think this one works better because of the Gotu Kola and Lemon Balm. I even wake up slightly groggy sometimes.I will say that it's a bit on the pricy side if it's not on sale. The pills have a slight smell that's pleasant, but no taste or aftertaste.

The other ingredients are BAD

This Wonder Family 5-HTP product has me pretty disappointed.I looked at the supplement facts, saw no 'other ingredients', so I ordered it. Well, the 'other ingredients' aren't shown in the ad under the supplement facts, even though that's exactly where they are on the actual label. Someone made a conscious decision to not show this part of the label in the ad.The nasty 'other ingredients' include:📌 Cellulose (cellulose gum, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose) is refined wood pulp and is used as a texturizer, an anti-caking agent, a fat substitute, an emulsifier, an extender, a thickening agent and a bulking agent in food production. It may cause loose bowel movements and or have a laxative effect. A 2021 study found that long-term consumption of cellulose gum can alter levels of beneficial bacteria and nutrients in the gut. This supports previous animal study findings that suggest prolonged consumption of cellulose gum may promote chronic inflammatory conditions, including colitis, metabolic syndrome, and colon cancer. It serves no purpose to the consumer in a supplement. NONE.📌 Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC, hypromellose) is a chemically modified cellulose synthetic polymer that acts as a thickening agent, coating polymer, binder, and bioadhesive in pharmaceutical, food, and industrial manufacturing. Benefit to consumer: NONE📌 Magnesium stearate (stearic acid, vegetable stearate,) is a water-insoluble powder that is made up of stearic acid and magnesium. It is used as a release agent and a lubricant in the production of foods, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. It also works as an emulsifier, binder, and thickening, anticaking, lubricant, release and antifoaming agent. Used as a “flow agent,” it helps speed up the manufacturing process because it prevents ingredients from sticking to the mechanical equipment. Magnesium stearate is broken down by the body into stearic acid. If you ingest too much, it can have a laxative effect. It can irritate the mucosal lining of your bowels. This can cause your bowels to spasm, triggering a bowel movement or even diarrhea. It provides no benefit to the consumer.📌 Silicon dioxide (quartz or silica) is a natural chemical mix of silicon and oxygen that has uses in many food products as an anticaking agent. In a supplement, it is of no benefit to the consumer. When ingested in large amounts, it makes it harder for the body to absorb it. In return makes it harder for your body to absorb the other nutrients you need such as fats, minerals, and vitamins. So, taking supplements with this ingredient is most likely counter productive.I hate seeing all this non beneficial 'stuff' in what could have been a good supplement. $28 for 30 servings is $1.22 per serving. It seems at this price point, the excipients could be left out.Also, is the excipients were left out, the 361 mg of beneficial ingredients would fit in a single capsule. But then, 30 smaller capsules for $28 doesn't sound as good as 60.I really dislike when ads don't show the entire label in their ad, even more than I dislike paying for excipients.

I have sleep issues. Even after a full nights sleep, I feel exhausted. Then I tried this. I can't remember the last time I woke up before my alarm and felt completely refreshed with an average amount of sleep. This must be magic in capsule form. It is more than worth the price. I wake up before my alarm, I feel rested, and I don't have that afternoon crash where I feel like I need a mid-say nap. This is my new favorite product.

I was on the lookout for something natural that would provide a nice calming state of mind, having taken 5HTP in the past, I figured I'd give this combo a try.The supplement itself contains 5-HTP, Gotu Kola and B Vitamins in an easy to swallow vegetarian capsule, serving is 2 capsules which are very easy to ingest.Roughly 40 minutes or so after taking it, I noticed I began to feel very relaxed and calm.This supplement would be a great addition to a sleepless night when you're looking for relief or help in falling asleep.Great supplement, works wonders, although a bit pricey, it absolutely works.

My first time using this, usually I just use melatonin on occasion. This was a wild difference, fast to fall asleep and stayed asleep all night long. Woke up well rested and ready to rock and roll with a positive mindset. Will I always use these? no. Will I occasionally use this? Yes, sure. Pretty good stuff, all I have to say. I last took 5-HTP probably in the '80s, so wanted to give it a modern try. Some interesting ingredients, including lemon balm extract which I had started taking recently for brain support. This is a 23-day supply at the suggested usage.
