Hodgman Mackenzie Nylon and PVC Cleated Bootfoot Chest Fishing Waders

Update: These started leaking after about 7-8 uses. As first I thought I had just splashed some water when I fell but after a few more times out with these my socks were soaking each time. Really a shame as they come in a real nice box and look really nice. If there is a way to patch somehow and and someone knows how with these would appreciate the help.

I use it for light surf fishing, and I rinse off the surface thoroughly after every use. The section between boot and pants starts to leak after 6th time out there. I think it has something to do with the wear and tear on the fold line.It'll be a nice wader if it can last longer.

Received ahead of schedule. The fit is good, worked great with no leakage and dried out after using in just a few minutes I'll buy again in a few years when these wear out.

OK I just got my Waders in the mail today. I don't normaly leave reviews for products but I am so impressed with this product and my laptop was close so I figure i would. The box that they came in was impressive cool Hodgman Logo with fishes on it wasn't really expecting such nice packaging, however first appearances count!! When I opened the box and took out the waders they were in a clear plastic bag and wrapped up very well. I took them out and tried them on at first I thought they were going to be too long but they were awesome. I had a way more expensive pair from Cabelas for my last set and this was just as good quality. The older one had pads on the bottom of the boots over time they fell off the boots and I purchased a kit at Cableas to repair them and glue new pads on. This was a complete failure and waste of money should have just got new ones instead. These boots are all rubber and you don't have to worry about any pads falling off over time. I liked the way the waders come up just below the armpits, they are very comfortable and seem like they are going to be very manueverable. If there is one thing that I wish these had it would be a pocket on the front or in the inside of the front. This should not be a reason to not purchase these and I have no regrets becasue of this. For the price I paid for these (around 45 bux) I feel like I got an incredible deal compared to other products similar to these. I weigh roughly 220lbs, stand at 5'10" and these are nearly a perfect fit for me to add layers underneath. I purchased a size 12 and have a wide foot, the boot fit excellent lengthwise with room for heavy socks. The width of the boot is definitely a size 12 and not a wide it was not uncomfortable but it did feel a tiny bit snug on the sides,nothing to whine about but I am trying to give you an idea of how the boot felt. I would and will recommend this to my friends if they need a set of waders. For what you get the price to me at least is a great deal and I would not think twice about buying from this company again. Can't wait to hit the river this weekend!!!

Like the rest of you I read alot of reviews before I make a purchase. So reading the reviews on these Hodgman waders was a tough job. Many people had no problems and with some, they leaked the first day out.For me, I had no problem. I ordered them Wednesday and they were at my door on Friday. So without delay, I took them out to the beach today. They're a little long ( I'm 200lb with size 12 boot ) but I was gald for the extra room as soon as I got in the water. They compressed around my body to make a tight fit and I had no leaks. All in all I'm satisfied with this purchase.

These are honestly the worst pair of waders I have ever had. I had them for two weeks and took them on two fishing trips. Those two trips I tried everything I could to make sure those waders would be in the best condition they could be but after the first trip they had already had a rip in them. Now they have a rip in the foot and in the knee. I also got very cold sitting in the water. Does not help with cold water at all. Definitely not worth the buy. I suggest saving another 50 bucks and buying a new pair. Not worth it!

Me and my friend bolth bught a pair and they worked great. We used them primarily for waterfowl hunting, mine didn't even last one season and started leaking in freazing water. My friends leg was completely soaked. Spend the extra money and buy a better pair, I wish I did.
