Flopro Professional Metal Hose Reel, Essential Garden Accessory for Neat Hose Storage, Wall-Mounted or Freestanding Garden Hose Reel

I was reluctant to pay the seemingly high price for this item but having taken the plunge was pleasantly surprised. Some very minor assembly required by means of screwing the handle on, but otherwise ready to go. This is a pretty simple item by design but uses decent thickness of stainless steel and aluminium frame. Feels very sturdy and should not tarnish over time.Well worth the extra money versus the typical plastic ones. This feels like it will last a long time. It has an almost homemade quality about it given the sturdy build. Rarely can you buy items like this nowadays.Nowhere on the item, packaging or listing could I find information about country of origin. Any time in my experience this information cannot be found, it means made in China. I assume that is the case here unfortunately.I wound up a 25m Gardena SuperFlex 13mm hose and it could obviously take more than this, winds very easily.

Not cheap but well made, quite nicely designed and should last a lifetime or two

Whilst its a lovely bit of kit with a silky smooth action, I was disappointed that Hozelock fittings (probably the most popular ones on the market) did not fit in to the internal fitting. I had to take an angle grinder to mine to make the cut-out larger in order to attach my hose. This is the reason I knocked a star off as I didn't expect to have to do that at all. Very strange

Seems well made. Provided a leak-free connection between a Flo Pro hose connector and a Gardena connector. This is running on a pumped irrigation system at about 80 psi (normal house pressure 30-60 psi) so quite impressed.Haven't tested with other brands, but serves my needs!

I'm delighted with this purchase. It's compact, very robust and well designed. I've loaded 35m of Hozelock Tuffhoze (composite fabric+polythene hose) without difficulty. Far superior to any of the plastic hose reels I've owned before. I'm not sure the screws supplied with the wall mounting kit would be quite up to the job, but as I'll be using mine freestanding that's not an issue.

Im really pleased with this- heavy high quality- should last for years. The Water inlet connection is Brass not plastic.Easily holds my 30metre hose with lots of room for a longer hose.Note that you will also need to aquire a short Hose with a connector on each end to connect this HoseReel to your tap. I got a 1 metre length complete with connectors from ToolStation and it works fine.

Compared with the hozelock reel I have replaced, this one with it seems a lot more robust. The brackets that are supplied are a bit thinner than the reel itself and I can see that the two seem not to match quality wise. However I have used both the brackets as per the instructions and it all looks good and secure. I have pulled the full length of hose off in my case 30m and no problems, it didn’t fall off the wall or anything. The only observation I would make is that it would be good to have three brackets supplied, my reason for that is, when winding the hose back in the bottom of the reel bangs on the wall. The third bracket would fit on the bottom support bar and stop that happening. Other than that small problem I am very happy with this reel.

At 1st I was impressed with the apparent build quality and feel. But as soon as I plugged it in to the water mains it leaked from the hoslock inlet on the reel, so I sent it straight back. Awful product, for the price you expect much better.
