ThinOptics Readers Rectangular Reading Glasses

My husband really likes his ThinOptic readers. They are incredibly light and compact, making them perfect for on-the-go use. He can easily fit them into a little pocket on his cellphone case, which makes them super convenient to carry around.Despite their small size, these reading glasses are durable and provide clear vision. The flexible frames are comfortable to wear for extended periods.If you're looking for reading glasses that are both functional and portable, these are a great choice. They've quickly become an essential accessory for my husband!

Women typically carry purses, in which they may put thousands of things - including reading glasses. Men, on the other hand, typically carry a wallet, a cell phone, and perhaps some keys; having one extra item can be a burden. And here's where these very ingenious reading glasses come in very handy, attaching to the cell phone case and providing reading help anytime anywhere.They are however a bit expensive and not as comfortable as regular glasses. Still, I can't live without them, having to replace them when I lose (ALWAYS put them back in the case!!!). And be careful because they can scratch.By the way, this is a redesign: Before, the thingies in the nose would break easily; that's been fixed.

They are good. And they do help, at the expected magnification. As others have commented they will tend to scratch easily but I think that reflects the material they're made out of more than how I handle them. But then they're not exorbitantly expensive. I try to be careful with them and handle them appropriately and well, that's about all I can do. I did try to buff out the scratches on a pair but it created a foggy mist of hairline scratches and it felt like being inside a Christmas snow globe and looking out through the white haze. In a way I'm glad I did try that, it was kind of worth it and brought back many warm happy memories of holidays past. You might try it too when they get really scratched and unusuable, just for fun.And fun isn't a word I would normally use with nose grip prescription eyewear but these little guys are pleasant enough - they fit and i like being able to read small print quickly without having to haul out the ol' framed "Coke bottles"! Ha! As if it came in "glass" bottles anymore!To summarize - they fit, they work and they last awhile, as long as you don't lose them or scratch them up (which you will eventually no matter what but then, you just get another pair out)

These are a lifesaver if you need readers on occasion but don’t want to carry a pair everywhere. They work great but they do loosen on your nose over time. They are especially convenient when used with the little case that you can stick to your phone case - but they do scratch easily coming in and out of that case.

I love the thin optics line of readers! Convenient, easy to use, and reasonably priced.

This is by far the best glasses i have used and the fact that i can get them in a case that attaches to my Phone is a fantastic plus. I never lost a pair of glasses again.They are very resistant and adjust well to my nose.

Not as comfortable as others, still an excellent option for keep readers conveniently on your person. I've bought these for friends as presents. I've also gotten myself several sets of spares. They are a little tight. Pinch on nose is slightly tight (for me) so I can't wear them for extended periods of time. If you have a narrow nose bridge these should work just fine for you. IF you have a larger nose, not so much. They WILL be uncomfortable and may need another option. I was impressed by the scratch resistance. Especially based on the way you remove and replace them from the case. I have several spares but only had to really replace one set. I somehow scratched the hell out of them (while out of the case). Still, take care while removing and replacing in case. It takes a little practice to replace them into case. No UV protection but great clarity. Highly recommend staying with name brand, avoid off brand.

I use these glasses all time, and that's the problem. The "Universal Pod Case" that's attached to the back of my phone has some design issues. I've changed cases already, so that's not the problem.The case is made of a hard plastic and the opening is somewhat sharp. It will very easily scratch these lenses with normal use. My previous two pairs lasted only about a month before the scratches ruined them.Thin Optics will not accept returns for scratches due to "normal wear". However, in this situation the scratches are due to a design flaw, and practically unavoidable with every day use. Hmmm.The problem is that the case opening is narrow, and it's very easy for the lenses to catch the edge when stowing the glasses. The lenses are designed with a raised edge on one side of the frames to help protect the lenses when inserted on that side. However, unless you are extremely careful, and insert the glasses precisely in the case at the exact angle of the opening...they WILL get scratched. I guess it may be possible to do stow them precisely but then the convenience of the glasses is totally lost. I don't need to be spending 30 seconds painstakingly stowing my glasses away each time like I'm defusing a nuclear warhead.Soooo. Since I love these glasses and hate the case, I came up with an easy homemade fix...Electrical Tape Glide Strip:Electrical tape is durable, very soft, and has good adhesion. A few pieces bent around the case opening edge has been working like a charm for me after a few days of use.Okay, so it's not exactly super fashionable, but I used black tape on a black case so it's hardly even noticeable. More importantly...no more case lens scratches!Fix your case Thin Optics!
