Heavier than it looks
Yes, I know the length should have been a giveaway that even though this is an aluminium construction it would be quite heavy but I never gave it a thought. Does make wielding it when extended fully more than a tad challenging and I wouldn't like to use this in an enclosed space for that reason alone. It is really easy to extend the pole itself as there is a latch mechanism for each of the sections that is made from a thick plastic that allows you to unlock that particular "clasp" and pull out a predeterined amount of the rod. With multiple on the length of the pole you do get good adjustment and you do not have to fully extend each section. Despite being tough enough to stop the pole from collapsing the locks are very well tensioned and do not need too much power to open and close the locking handle.Adding fitments to the head of the pole is a little bit tricky and you do need to be careful as there are some small pieces (a turning "nut" with a tiny screw) that will just drop out as you are loosening everything up to add or remove an attachment - that is a fun time scrabbling round on the pavement to find what amounts to a grub screw. We got this for cleaning the gutters on our standard terraced house built in 1905. Once you get than hang of it the pole is quite easy to use to guide your cleaning tool in to the gutter. If you do meet any resistance because of a stubborn blockage then it does bend quite alarmingly but is not showing any signs of stress of the metal after tacking the front guttering which had reed type grasses growing in the section between us and next door. You just need to make sure you have the right attachments for the job you want it to do.

Great piece of kit.
Make sure you get the right length tool for the job, a 3 metre pole won’t reach up to clear gutters on the top of a 2 floor house. You’ll need the 7 metre version.PROS -It’s quite light and ok for a healthy adult to wield for cleaning gutters, you’ll have to find and use an attachment for gutter clearing - they aren’t supplied with this of course. You can find them on Amazon. It does have weight to it especially when extended - so will be a struggle for people who aren’t very physical. The pole sections are nice and stiff and easy to extend and retract and very smooth. The locking mechanism with the levers feels smooth and progressive - with a positive lock that never came undone. It is very well made. The pole grip area is very good too but I wish it was a little bit longer - higher up the lower pole. It’s worth the money and the best one I’ve used.CONS -When fully extended it flexes a bit - a good 150 to 200mm side to side but only when meeting a stubborn obstacle in a gutter. So acceptable and it didn’t break.I got a free cleaning brush attachment that was unfortunately smashed on delivery but that is not a reflection on the equipment. It was also half out of the packaging.Overall a great piece of kit happy with my purchase. Pity about the delivery - which was also late.

Rigid, easy to adjust and accurate
I bought this when I discovered the internal scaffold I’d hired to paint a difficult to reach 4.2m high wall off some stairs didn’t fit the stairwell. I have to say I wish I’d considered this first after wasting a load of cash on the hiring of the scaffold. It’s superb quality, has a tight screw fix head that’s adjustable and unlike other poles barely flexes. With a bit of patience I made quick work of the wall and attached a paint pad to take care of the edging. Absolute lifesaver of a product, might be a little heave for some but I guess that’s the price you pay for a robust product that does the job rather than cheaper poles. Highly recommended, been using it for other stuff like dusting my vaulted ceiling and window cleaning too. Don’t hesitate considering this it’s top notch gear!

Great product!
Never climb a ladder again (or pay someone else too!). Love this product! Used it at full extension to clear a 2-3m section of very clogged up gutters in conjunction with a Progutter scraper with angle adapter. Lightweight so it's easy to operate even at full length (even for a little guy like me!). Good quality construction and comfortable grips. I found the small amount of flexibility at full length allowed me to feel what was going on at the working end from the handle. (Something like playing a fish with a long rod). Had to figure out the best technique but got the hang of it in about 15 mins. Involved running the scraper at 45 degrees along the gutter to break up the debris and then sweeping along the gutter, periodically using a 90 degree twist to flick the debris out over the side whenever I could feel the resistance of a build up. The Docapole allows you the sensitivity to feel your way along. It still takes several passes but so much easier than climbing up a ladder with a bucket IMHO. (Note that I have flat based/square line gutters which may have made using the technique I described easier than with round guttering). Tempted to attach a video camera to the end so I could so how successful I'd been but it was getting late. Heavy rain is on the way so I'm hoping to find the overflowing gutters have been fixed. (Update: JOB DONE!!) When I consider I'll never have to pay someone else to climb up a ladder again it's great value for money.
