Hands down my favorite pinpointer!
I usually don’t go this in depth with Amazon reviews, but I love this pinponiter and wanted to share my experience.Ergonomics: The F-pulse feels great in the hand. It has a natural shape and is easy to operate even with thick gloves on. The button is also easier to reliably press than other units. It has a positive click to it which is great. On my Garrett units, the battery compartment is a plastic screw cap which I often felt the need to re-check to prevent leaks. I don’t have to do that with the F-pulse because it’s impossible to accidentally open it! The color is bright and easy to find in the water and tall grass without being obnoxious. The texturized grip works great in slippery conditions. Finally, someone thought to do this!Reliability:This is a new unit from Fisher, so there hasn’t been enough time to do a long-term reliability test. I will however say that I have never experienced a single lock-up or freeze with the F-Pulse. With my carrot and original pointer would false if you pressed too hard into the soil. The plastic also appears to be much stronger on the F-pulse than any other pinpointer i’ve had since it does not scratch easily.Functionality: You don’t have to take my word that this is a deep probe. Look it up on Youtube for yourself. The claims are certainly true from my experience. I’m glad Fisher went with AA’s as it is easy to find AA rechargeable cells unlike 9volts. Again, I have to mention just how good this button is. If you want it on, it’s on. If you want to change the mode, it’s easy to do so intentionally. That alone is enough for me to make this my primary pinpointer. Bye Garrett!

Great pinpointer
I've been using the pinpointer almost every day for over a year. It works great. Only problem I've had is that the beep sound went very low for awhile, but I was able to fix tgat by blowing air thru the speaker holes and battery compartment. Appearantly there was a dirt blockage. Also I lke that it runs on only two AA batteries!

My New Go To Pinpointer!
I've been detecting for several years and own a few pinpointers, but where I live now, it's illegal to dig plugs in city parks, you can only use a screwdriver to pop coins, jewelry, etc.. I was looking for a new pinpointer to get a little more depth to probe for targets deeper than a few inches. My Garret Carrot and Minelab ProFind 35 have always performed well but I just needed a few more inches of depth than I get from those. I researched Pulse Induction pinpointers and the general concensus was that the Fisher F-Pulse and Technetics Tek-Point (same manufacturer) were the deepest available. So I bought the F-Pulse a few months ago and man does it out perform the Carrot and the Profind 35 in depth by up to 4-5 inches in some cases. It can actually hit deep targets that I can't reach with my 6" screwdriver so I got a 10" one.I will say it took a little getting use to the menu system and quirky button, but now I have no problems operating and changing settings on the fly. The F-Pulse has performed so well that I don't need the other pinpointers anymore, except I'm keeping the ProFind 35 for it's Ferrous ID capability, but if the F-Pulse comes out with Ferrous ID, then I'll sell the ProFind too! ;)
