No, not twist and pop up, but slide the poles down and in to the slots and its done. Super fast setup.

What does it weigh ? i.e. Is it good for beach vacations where all the umbrellas are taken ?

This product is very light. If easily goes over your shoulder. Its prefect for the beach. I nought mine to take my three month old to the beach. It was exactly What I needed.

how's it do in heavy wind?

If it's really heavy, you may (1) struggle to get it assembled if by yourself, and (2) you will find that the 6 sandbags alone would not be sufficient to hold it down. We had a pretty heavy wind one day on the beach, that was blowing directly into the tent (not sideways, which probably would have been less of an issue). We had lots of stuff in the tent so it was OK, but one thing I did when returning home was to go to REI and pick up some nylon bags larger than the ones that come w/ the kit so I could have some 20 lb sandbags in the 4 corners next time around.

How small does this item fold up?

It folds up pretty small. I would estimate 18-24" long and about 4-6" diameter. Maybe a little smaller.

Perfect beach tent!

Great size, will suit 5 of us! We had a smaller beach tent but we needed a bigger one.I like the green colour as most of them on the beach are blue and hard to identify!Easy to put up alone if you’re used to putting beach tents up. I like how small the tent is when put away. Highly recommend!

Lightweight, easy to put up, attractive design. Well made except.....zip broke after 2 years.For a premium product I would expect a bit more longevity.Gone for a cheaper version this time from mountain warehouse at 24.99Very similar it seems
