My Book of Rocks and Minerals: Things to Find, Collect, and Treasure

This book is perfectly informative for children and my nephew who is 7 loves the pictures and detail. It’s not too complicated for him either and explains a lot about minerals and gems.

It is really interesting and is a good beginners book. So much cool rocks, minerals and gems to read about. Some rocks are not there because they couldn’t fit them in.

Was brought as a present but had a look through before wrapping it up. Really liked the phonetic spellings under each mineral name to help with correct pronunciation.

My Grandson loves rocks and gems so this was the perfect book for him. He is fascinated by it and it's interesting for the adults as well! So much to learn. Great book

it looks like in the pictures, lots of pages, vivid colours,happy with the book, unhappy with the packaging. I placed the order together with other items for craft and art activities: such as pebbles, pine cons, acorns, sea shells and this book was in the box together with these other items, which released a lot of dirty heavy dark dust. the book could have been easily packed either separately in a different box or in the same box but covered in some sort of paper to protect it from getting dirty and covered in dirt because it was full of dirty dark dust and I had to clean it. this is not a way to deliver a book which costs £10, right?

This is a delightfully detailed book . Gives hours of pleasure without taking up room in the book case. Recommended ..

It’s always going to be hard to dumb down a book like this and still make it a learning resource. Thankfully the boy that received this is mad in geology and even though he is just 6 he thoroughly enjoyed it. Recommend

This is really a great book for budding young rock hounds. I highly recommend it!

My nephew is precocious, and obsessed with rocks, gems, minerals, and how things are formed. For his birthday, he received this book and a small chest with the start to his own rock/mineral/gem collection (so he would leave Papa's alone.)He frequently pulls out the chest and this book, pulls out a rock, and looks for it in the book. He knows not all of them are in there, but gets really excited when he does find one. His mom is also happy with the gift, as she can sit and have some tea while he looks through the book.
