Dear, where are they made?

I believe they are made in China out of Teakwood and finished with food-grade oil. I have used my spurtles set by this manufacturer for a month... I do use oil on them if they look dry. I’ve done that twice, they look like new. I bought a second set because I liked them so much! Good as new!

How high heat they can be used?

When I got the cooking utensils set, I felt that it was of good quality and weight. As far as I know, fairly high heat, such as when you are browning hamburger, stirring soup, etc. I have used mine frying and in boiling soups. So far, they have no signs of cracking and are still very strong.

Does this set have any varnish or other finish on them?

Yes, there is a finish on them. I do not know what it is. I believe a good assumption is that it is food safe.

Did spurtle have any smell?

The spurtle set I received is natural wood color and has no smell. It must be healthy to use the spurtle set to make food.
