Item arrived well-packaged and earlier than expected. I was initially slightly disappointed by the size, expecting it to be a bit bigger. However, once I fit it together (very easy to do even without the instructions) and placed it in the aquarium, I realised the holding area for the female is a decent size - I have a quite large female guppy who was able to move around quite freely in here. I have used other breeding traps which are small and house the female in a cramped space which increases stress on the fish. Because of the size of this and way it works, with the addition of an airline drawing the water in through the holding tank and on into the fry tank , the water is continually circulating making it a much healthier environment.I have used it already and am very pleased with it. With other products, the female has managed to get a hold of at least some of the babies and eaten them, but with this, ALL fry have survived from birth to their release into the main tank - no more lost babies!I would definitely recommend this product.

good value for money

The breeding doesn't fit we to my tank we has to use some suction culs cut to try and hold but not great and I the side keeps falling of every time i try and feed the mother and it is a struggle to get the lid of easy to feed the fry. And it came cracked but still able to kind of use it. Don't wast ur money on this .

I 1st purchased one of these locally, Its the best Guppy box I have ever used, everything assembled well and fitted together.I purchased 2 more from here, 1 was missing the bit of hose that fits on the bottom and the other one the side compartment wouldn't clip to the main box correctly so kept falling off.I ended up making 1 good unit from the 2 I purchased from here, shame they are great Items.

Gonna use with my minnows

To be honest i found the fry still swam back up the slit and mother ate them. The suction caused by the airline is not all that strong and i am using a quality air pump. The newborn guppy fry could swim out of the "pull / suction" area with no problem.

I bought this and it was delivered pretty fast. It was a great price. It's really easy to assemble, it comes with simple instructions and works really well. The fry can't get out but can't be eaten either. This is great for any aquarists.

Loved the idea of this and the fact I could quarantine fish. Unfortunately it's quite fiddly to set up and it's let down by the waste products of fish going and staying in the fry section. If this could be overcome it would be great.
