Do these cables do more than charging, like syncing data to the computer? Doesn't sync when I plug it in.

I purchased these in July, 2022 and just used one to connect my Forerunner 955 to my Windows laptop. Works great for power and sync for me.

Why does it say to only charge for 80 minutes if this cable takes 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to charge a device?

I can't tell you the specifics of your question, but given that 2.5 hours is based on a 1A charger I'd be surprised if it took anywhere near that time. You'd have to be using a very old charger. That or the watch will only charge at 1A. What I can tell you is that I have used it with a battery pack and a multi-port table charger, all capable of up to 2.4A charging. I connect my watch and forget it. Sometimes for a few hours, sometimes overnight and haven't run into any issues. While I am still using for my bedside charge, I've added a small type-c adapter for travel that allows me to use any usb-c cable to charge my watch. Either has made a good replacement/ spare to the factory cable that came with my watch.

A lifesaver of a cable

I've learned the hard way that Garmin watch charging cables have a limited lifespan. When you think your watch is dying, it might actually be the cable that's given up the ghost. That's where this charging cable comes in!It's a perfect replacement for the original. It fits my Garmin Vivoactive 3 and Venu 2 perfectly and connects just fine with the same functionality, just like the original charger. I actually prefer it to the original because it's slightly longer, which is really handy, It's much cheaper than buying another original cable, and you get two in the pack! I keep one at home and one at work, so I'm always covered.If you're having charging issues with your Garmin, I'd definitely recommend trying a new cable before you shell out for a new watch. This cable is a great value and it's saved me a lot of hassle.Highly recommended!

Broken after 3 months

Bought this is March and it's broken by June. It can longer can charge my Garmin Forerunner 55 so I'm back to using the original (and very short!) cable that came with the watch instead. Waste of money for a low quality product, don't make the same mistake that I did.
