This was a big product - bigger than I expected for the price. The packaging is informative and entertaining. They suggest wearing gloves, maybe a mask and washing your hands after use.Of course I thought I was invincible and didn't take their suggestions. I put 2 sprays on the side of the couch where my cat has been scratching and the mist did settle a bit on my hands and in the air. Immediately my girlfriend was complaining about the taste in her mouth.I was worried about my cat but he seemed non-plussed. He did stop scratching the couch though! About a week later I think I touched the cough or the package and got some liquid on my hands. Got it in my mouth again and yuck - it does taste bad! It's bitters so it just tastes "bad" and not "poisonous" or scary in any way.WEAR GLOVES! WASH YOUR HANDS! :D

My cat has been scratching our couch. I decided to try and find a deterrent, so he wouldn’t ruin the sectional. I sprayed the couch and it was so stron, and it seemed to permeate everywhere. My wife, my kids, and I were all gagging after I sprayed. It seemed to get in the air and therefore we ended up tasting and smelling nothing but the spray. It was really bad. We decided to get out of the house for awhile. We came back a little while longer to find the cat like this…. Asleep with his claws in the couch. I was able to put the bottle next to him for a great photo op. I hope this spray works for others, but it definitely didn’t work for us. However, this actually works great as a people deterrent because we still aren’t able to sit on the couch ourselves.

It works ok, great smell, but gotta use it everyday on the same spots

I received this product a few days ago to test with our 4 cats who love to scratch at the bottom of walls and our chairs as well.It comes with gloves because it's very bitter and you don't want it on your hands especially if you are going to cook. So I put the gloves on and sprayed the hot spot areas for kitty scratching. I noticed that the smell is pretty strong but not wholly unpleasant. The instructions say to spray every 24 hours and so for the last couple days I have reapplied it and I've noticed a definite decline in the amount of times I've seen or caught the cats scratching on what we sprayed. Just be careful not to accidentally spray your cats toys or anything and this stuff works!

I got this to keep a cat from chewing on my oxygen tubing. It works really well but you have to be very, very careful not to get the mist on your own face. It works just as well for humans as it does cats, it's disgusting and it sticks around for days. Which is great for the item your trying to protect, not so great for your own lips.I gave it a good rating for flavor because it's supposed to be gross and boy does it knock that out of the park.

I am returning this product because it's absolutely useless. It came leaking into the package so I got it all over my hands while cleaning up the bottle. I tried it anyway and my cat just licks it, shakes its head and keeps on attacking everything. Don't waste your money.

Oh my gosh! Let me tell you, this stuff is awful smelling. I was thinking it would be subtle like other things I have purchased in the past and only that cats would be able to smell. WRONG! This stuff is airborne for hours upon hours. It gets in your mouth as you walk in the room it has been sprayed in. I didn't spray much at all either and oh my word it is awful! Also, I have to say, it didn't keep my cat from scratching and clawing up items. I mean maybe for like the first couple of hours but after that it was game on! This stuff comes out and is in the air almost like aerosol. I wouldn't recommend at all. There are other items on the market that do a better job and that don't choke you up in the process. I hate that my cat had to breathe that in also.

The spray doesn’t smell bad but has a yucky flavor. I oversprayed one day and could taste the spray in the air and yuck 🤢But it keeps the cats from destroying our leather couch. They still sit, lay & sleep on the couch but that is it.
