Great DVDs
These dvds work. I read some of the reviews on them saying the disc won't format. If you are burning video files onto them, it is not the disc you need to format; it is the files. Once you convert your video files to DVD NSTC or which ever plays in your country, you can burn them onto the disc. It will play in your DVD player. Again the files has to be converted to whichever type of DVD player you have.I have been doing this for years and never had a problem once I learned the proper way to burn a DVD.Never format the disc, they will become unusable.Memorex is the brand I use for DVDs and CDs. 👍

Some Problems with Memorex 25 pack DVD +RW
I've purchased at least eight, 25 packs with spotty results. Some of the disks indicate "disk dirty" when I finalize them, even so, they do play on a different DVD player and brand(one that they were not recorded on). Recently the last batch of 25 disks however, had two disks that wouldn't even format, and I had to toss them out. Even so the price is still quite good! Several of the bad disks have obvious visual problems when viewed carefully from the recording side. The question I have, is why can't Memorex's quality control catch these problems. It should be easy with an optical scanning system!

Work great if you record/re-record tv shows
These work great if you still have a DVD recorder for recording tv shows. Quality is good and you can re-record over them over and over and over, tons of times.

Great for my Windows Media Center recordings!
I got these rewritable DVDs in order to watch TV shows recorded on my computer. I'm new to the whole DVR realm and don't have everything connected in my house in order to send TV recordings from my computer to my preferred TV. Even though write-once blank DVDs are quite cheap, I couldn't bring myself to creating that much waste (I am not into "collecting" shows). These rewritable DVDs are perfect for watching a show once and then reusing them. Even better is removing the commercials on the computer before copying them to the DVD (DVRMSToolbox is clumsy for this, but I eventually got it to work). Commercial-free TV is the best!

A Different Memorex DVD+RW
I have purchased several hundred Memorex DVD+RW discs in the past few years and while I have had an occasional coaster most of the discs worked quite well on the Samsung DVD recorders (two different models) that I have used. My recent order of two 25-disc spindles resulted in my receiving two spindles of Memorex DVD+RWs with a Memorex label that was not the same that has been used on previously received spindles (the label on the spindle was of a different design as was the imprinted design on each disc). The discs looked and felt different. I tried formatting 10 of these discs on both of the DVD recorders and neither of the recorders would work with the DVDs. The DVDs seem to be a completely different manufacture than the discs of the Memorex brand previously putchased. What can I say other than buyer beware. You can assume a certain quality from a brand name and then all of a sudden it is gone. This update on my comments is dated 1/10/2011.I notice that the current Amazon.com product description, for these discs, has been changed to say that the discs are "for newer DVD+R/+RW drives". Make sure you have a newer drive (whatever that means) before you purchase these discs.Any of the reviews, written before mid-2009, (including the "Most Helpful Favorable Review" written 2004,and the ""Most Helpful Critical Review" written 2005) are referring to a quite different DVD+RW than the DVD+RW that is now being sold. My review states that the quality of the DVDs changed at some point in mid-2009. If you read the reviews after mine you will see that there are a number of negative reviews with specificity and they are often followed by good reviews that say things like "I purchased these DVDs and they are great". Maybe these are the people that have newer drives or maybe they have an incentive to write good things about products. I am suggessting that, if you have an older drive, buy these DVDs with caution - or do not buy them at all.

They work for me.
Seller: Amazon.comPurchased: June 2013The price was $15. They qualified for free shipping at the time. The product arrived undamaged. The disks all functioned correctly.I checked all the files written to the disks (lots of different files types). The files were all readable and could be copied and pasted back to my Western Digital hard drive from the DVDs.I used a LG external DVD drive to write on the disks. It was purchased in 2005. My internal stock DELL DVD drive will read them, but I have not tried writing on these disks with it. The DELL DVD drive was purchased in 2006. Sorry, but I do not really know what else to write about it or know what the exact models are of my DVD drives or anything like that.

Memorex DVDs & CDs
Memorex has always been the brand that I've always used & relied heavily upon! - I also use their DVD/CD ExPressit Template Designs & their accurate (sticky back) "CD/DVD Label Creating Pkgs" to make Professional Looking CD labels for my own Solo-Produced CDs at: BlkIndiansMusic dot org as well! - I've only had 1 "unusable" DVD & 2 CDs out of the 400+ CDs & DVDs, I've ever tried to use from Memorex! - Now that's what I call a STERLING RECORD! - All human beings imperfect, but the Memorex Corp. seems to defy both The Laws of "Gravity & Logic" as well! ;-) - This Review applies to the "CD-Rs" the "DVD+R's" & the "DVD+RWs" I specifically use. - I've heavily used my current Memorex DVD+RWs for over 12 yrs now, w/not a single issue with any of 'em, until lately! - Hey, most things eventually wear out, right? - But, I think any product that lasts, trouble free, for over 12 yrs is most definitely quite "cost effective," don't you think? - Even most cars & trucks won't last for over 10 years, now-a-days! ;-)
