It swivels very smoothly. I use it to lift a heavy telescope on and off the mount with a movable hoist. Much safer!

This is a great value for a well made, durable, nicely sized swivel. The openings are large enough to accept a wide array of carabiners, or rope, and the triangular shape keeps them from sliding, or shifting under varied loads. This swivel is rated for 5 Kilonewtons (a measure of force) which can be roughly compared to the equivalent of 1,125 pound-forces.

I use mine to connect a spinner swing to a tow strap in a tree. It makes all the difference in the world. Kids of all ages and sizes have been using it for months and it's holding up well. I do disconnect it when we're not outside. For my purposes I couldn't be happier.

I've had no problems at all using this swivel. In fact, it exceeded my expectations. Very, very smooth operationg. Feels very strong and I have no hesitation using it.

I have three. All work perfectly even when I leave them out in the rain (kids swing). Very pleased. We tend to beat the snot out of them, (thrashing loads...etc.). Can't speak on behalf of them in a rock climbing application.
