If you are accustomed to wheat-based sweets, heavy with butter and high sugars, then this snack will be a new adventure for you. New Grains' Coconut Macaroon cookie is "just right" sweet, "just enough" coconut-y and "lightly" drizzled with dark chocolate. Although you notice the based of the cookie's taste is not wheat, there are no bad after-tastes and the cookie does not 'chew' like cardboard...as other GF brands may taste. The cookie is soft, fragrant, and best of all- over-sized!Be careful. Since the individually wrapped cookie itself is larger than life, and contains two (2) serving sizes, you must decide how you want to enjoy the sweet. If you eat the entire cookie, you have consumed 380 calories. Those are a lot of calories. Think of the cookie as an indulgence. Remember the cookie product is sold as gluten-free (GF), so it is high in calories, and contains: egg, soy and milk ingredients.I ordered an entire box of New Grain's Coconut Macaroon cookies. Although pricey, I was delighted to get my whimsical display box of cookies- all individually wrapped- to enjoy a little at a time. these macaroons are delicious. i had never had macaroons with chocolate topping. they are very rich and satisfying. put them in the freezer as soon as they arrive. when i want a sweet treat, i cut one in quarters and enjoy one piece at a time which is more than enough to quiet my sweet tooth. eaten frozen, they are delicious. again, the shipping is high but at least you get 10 cookies and it isn't double the cost of the product like their english muffins. wish there was a way for the seller to bring down the cost of shipping.

These are delicious and so large that I can share one or save half for later and feel satisfied. They are too expensive for me, but I like them so much, I get them anyway. Not an issue only for these macaroons. Eating gluten free just costs more so I try to limit treats to things I absolutely love and these make the grade!

Hands down, the best cookie I have ever eaten. Seriously. I wish they had a retail store locally so that it would be easier to get their products.

Could be a good cookie, but is way too sweet. There is no need for all the sugar in this cookie.
