Musiclily 4Ply 11 holes SSS Strat Guitar pickguard for US FENDER®Standard STRATOCASTER®, Pearl Blue

I build out Fender and Squier guitars, mostly Stratocasters, as a hobby. Usually I "rescue" abused and neglected instruments from pawn shops for cheap, then I rebuild them to specifications far beyond their original factory condition.The pickguards on these guitars are usually damaged and have to be replaced... and that can get expensive, so I searched Chinese manufacturers on Amazon for a lower-priced source. Unfortunately, I learned through trial and error that most Chinese Strat pickguards are junk. They're thin, cheap feeling and often have non-standard hole placement.The Musiclily pickguards are an entirely different story. I have purchased several of these Strat pickguards, both solid and pearl colors, and have been very pleased. First of all, the Musiclily pickguards are as good as (and occasionally better) than the original manufacturer's products. For example: The typical Squier solid color pickguard is 2.0mm thick and the Squier pearl pickguard is 2.3mm. The "standard" American and Mexican OEM pickguards are about 2.3mm thick and the pearls are about 2.45mm. The solid color Musiclily pickguards are 2.3mm and the pearls are 2.5mm.The Musiclily pickguards are cleanly cut and beveled with no ragged edges. They are fully shielded, covering both the pickups and the controls. The solid color pickups are three layers (i.e. black/white/black) and the pearl and tortoise shells are four layers (white/black/white/pearl). They also come with two layers of protective plastic on top to prevent shop/installation damage.My only complaint regarding this pickguard is that the user must cut out the parts of the aluminum shielding that cover the holes for the pots and the switch. It is a hassle to trim these parts with a hobby knife, but the price differential more than compensates for the inconvenience.I have tested the Musiclily Strat pickguards and found that they are fully compatible with American and Mexican Stratocasters, as well as many Squier models. I have placed them on the following guitars without having to drill or modify in any way: Fender American Standard, Fender Mexican Standard, Chinese Squier SE and a vintage Japanese model. It will NOT fit on a Korean Strat or a few other Squier models.See the attached photos of a my "All Musiclily" Chinese Squier Stratocaster SE with a Musiclily tortoise shell pickguard with Musiclily Railblaster pickups, 250k pots, five-way switch, locking tuners and Strat knobs. It plays great and only cost me about $110, including the purchase of the guitar at the pawn shop and all the Musiclily components.

I rescued a black Squire Strat made in Indonesia (SN# ICS11xxxxxx) from the pound in perfectly new condition for $65, with all shots, but not spayed or neutered. I was astonished with the workmanship/quality of this instrument after I dressed out the whole guitar, so I decided to go ahead and invest and install a nicer looking pick-guard.1) It took 4 days for my order to come.2) The quality is right on par with the Fender-brand pick-guards I have on my other two Fender Stratocasters. As well as extras I have bought in the past.3) The cream color I chose looks just gorgeous, all the cuts and holes, bevels, and edges are really done very well.4) It is an exact replacement, no modifications necessary, for the pick-guards on both my 1974, and my 2014 American Standard.5) I had to drill 1 hole (the one just below the bottom tone knob,) to fit the Squire Strat mentioned above. (Apparently, the Squire builders moved just this one screw hole for some unknown reason.)I definitely recommend this product, and will only be disappointed if the creme backplate I also ordered (which still has not arrived) from them doesn't match this pick-guard very closely.And, if you permit me to digress for one paragraph... I had some old "noiseless" Dimarzio HS-3 pickups laying around, so the new pound puppy got some nice new pups.Anyway, 5 stars, well done!

This pickguard is a high quality product that easily surpassed the quality of my squier affinity strat pickguard. There is a large amount of aluminum sticker on the back to insulate the electronics which is very helpful. You will have to cut out the aluminum with an x-acto knife or something of the sort to reveal a few of the holes but this is a very simple task. The pickguard fit my squier affinity strat made in Indonesia perfectly besides having to drill one hole near the bottom tone knob but again this was a very simple task. If modifying your guitar in the way that I have by cutting out the pickguard to fit a slanted humbucker one would have to make sure to make the hole smaller somehow to fit the smaller screws of a humbucker style pickup. If using a single coil pickup then no modification would be needed for the humbucker holes. Overall, the product looks great with the pearloid design and was protected by a plastic sticker wrap in the package. The company and Amazon shipped very quickly. I am very happy with this product and for the price definitely recommend it to any who want to replace the pickguard on their Indonesian made squier strat.

It fits my blue squire strat from Indonesia and the color of the pick guard matches the stock blue strat color perfectly. Makes the guitar look great! All the screw holes matched. It seems to be of durable material although I don't play the guitar often enough to give you any kind of long term durability review. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because there was a tiny scratch about a centimeter long near the pick up. It was small enough that it isn't really noticeable unless you are looking for it but it was a blemish that was on the guitar pick guard when it arrived. It was under the protective plastic and the plastic was not scratched so it had to have happened in the manufacturing process.

Perfectly matched the Aged White Fender accessories I paired them with. Really changed the look of my black Chinese Squier Bullet Strat. Maybe four of the holes lined up, but it wasn't much of a challenge to set the depth on a drill bit with some tape and make new holes. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one, and I probably will when I decide how I am going to set the pups up on a Korean Squier Affinity Strat waiting in the wings.

Holes didn’t properly line up on my ‘92 Squire MIK, but that’s to be expected, not a big deal at all.

GOOD QUALITY AND AS ADVERTISED JUST TOOK FOREVER TO RECEIVE

Color is great but it didn't line up, I had to cut and file by the neck joint so that it would fit and the screw hole would lineup. Now theres a 1/8 inch gap by the bridge.

This pickguard is very nice. The one in the picture is my MIK squire which doesn't have the same spacing of a MIM. Overall I am very satisfied with the pickguard.
