Dont Forget to add O ring to small spout
Really sturdy. Seems like quality product. Don't forget to add o ring to small spout. Don't know why it is not included for the price they charge.

Heavy duty
These are very heavy duty and appear they will hold up much longer than other less expensive/larger cans I recently tried bought. Look identical to cans we used in the military. Very strong plastic smell, so be prepared to wash thoroughly before use. While rising/sanitizing, had them upside-down, and zero leaking from cap, spout, or the vent cap. I was going to purchase a couple more of the cheaper thinner options, but after getting these, will opt for more of these...rather pay more and have them last longer.

Appears exactly like my US Government ones
I have 2 scepter jugs that are genuine military bought ten years ago, they are great. I bought these civilian version made by the same company and they appear identical in construction and thickness. A great deal when you buy four. I bought them for extra water tankage for my sailboat.

Overall very good.
Overall a very good container and I think it will serve its purpose. I called customer service a couple of times because the information provided was a little confusing on Amazon. With the few pictures that were displayed some had the US Government stamp and some did not. Some had Scepter Canada on the back and some did not. According to customer service they make these containers for a wide variety of uses and they just change the stamps during production to whatever they need them to be. Customer service said they even have stamps in different languages. Also the ScepterCanada containers that I have do not have any kind of recycle code on the bottom. Customer service says since it has water on the side of the container then it’s always HDPE. My containers leaked a little bit but it seemed like it stopped when I tightened up the air valve a little more. It looked like it was leaking out of the main larger cap. I talked to customer service at Scepter about that and they did not consider that a big deal and said that these containers are supposed to be stored upright anyway. Customer service was very nice they got back to me after researching when necessary and answered my questions. So I’m not happy that they cannot be stored on their side and that Scepter does not think that’s a big issue. I don’t know why this leaking issue is not fixed because they make these cheap water bottles and they never leak. There was a smell in my containers and I left them out in the sun for several days with water in them. They still have a slight smell but I’m going to wash them with soap and water now and hopefully that will take care of it. I’m thinking it probably won’t. If I’m home when I have to use the water out of these containers I will run The water through a Berkey first. I have watched a lot of videos on other containers and they look very inferior compared to the strength of materials used on these containers. I think it was really important to have the cap Big enough to put your hand in for cleaning if necessary. Also where the cap is placed towards the outside of the container then the water does not get trapped in the higher handle areas. These were all issues with a lot of other containers. The only other thing I might add is I just checked and it seems like the handle section is hollow. Not sure if the entire handle is hollow or not. That certainly could be a source for mold. Other containers though have multiple areas that are not open and visible that are much larger. So overall very good.
