Really has great flavor

Thanksgiving is better with apple wood blend bisquettes
I use the apple wood blend every year that I'm smoking a turkey for thanksgiving. It's quite marvelous, the smoke is consistent and the penetration is just excellent. I would recommend these for any and all who are smoking a bird.

High quality you've come to expect from Bradley
What would you expect, these are the factory OEM bisquettes, and I just wish Bradley would use the common name for their bisquettes, and just call them biscuits. I'd subtract a star, but these are just really what you would come to expect from Bradley. They provide the exact king of blue smoke needed for quality results. On a different note, when you are cold smoking, you should follow the instructions and open the smoker vent all the way. The consumption of the bisquette is highly dependent on the airflow, and so that you can make maximum use of the bisquette you should insure enough air flow to carbonize the wood. Great item, but the complaint has always been that they are expensive as they are proprietary. There are resources online for DYI methods for making them.

Great for giving food a lighter smoke flavor
These pucks are great for giving food a noticeable, yet not overpowering smoke flavor. I used these bisquettes to give a small pork butt 3 hours, and then let the meat slow cook for several more hours. The smoke flavor was definitely there, but it wasn't overpowering or as strong as other woods, such as hickory. My friend who doesn't particularly care for strong smoke flavor thought the meat turned out awesome. These pucks make smoking in the Bradley smoker extremely easy and worry-free.The only downside is that the pucks are considerably more expensive than plain old wood chips you might use in a traditional smoker. But when you consider price vs. convenience, it's a fair trade-off in the end.
