I'm so glad I took a chance on this after hesitating given the name, bombshell red, because I feared that it would be too orange given that in my opinion bomb explosions, on camera anyway, look orange, not red! (I realize that bombshell in the vernacular no longer means the exact color but just means that whatever the adjective is describing is sexy). It is in fact a beautiful cool red that I will attempt to describe further below. I am a lipstick fanatic but not a millionaire, so, probably like every other non-millionnaire lipstick buyer on the planet, am quite exasperated with how difficult if not impossible it seems to determine beforehand what color the lipstick will actually be using the ever-shifting variables of the following: camera color distortion, varying textual description, consumer ignorance of what one's own lip color could POSSIBLY be described as (God bless oil painters for figuring the mixes out), just how the myriad lipstick finishes change the way the light on them appears, how our facial skin color affects the look of the shade, and the seeming lack of a fixed line in the sand at the point that pink becomes red, red becomes purple, and just where rose, magenta, fuchsia, violet, burgundy, cranberry, raspberry, cranberry, and plum lie along the way! Not to mention that arm swatches never seem to look identical to swatches on the lips even if the arm skin seems to be the same color as your facial skin. Therefore, I have set myself a little writing task to try to the best of my ability to convey using comparison ideas what color this lipstick actually looks like, at least on me. I am a dark brunette with silver strands, pale skin, and what I think is a cool undertone.Okay, so initially I tried to come up with something in nature that everybody will have seen before that was is color, and I thought of a calla lily petal. Irritatingly, when I looked up the images of a calla lily petal, it showed two different shades of the red ones: a glossy bright red, and a burgundy-leaning saturated red. It was the burgundy-leaning shade that I had in my head as the flower color. The lipstick is not as dark as the burgundy lily, though. It's brighter once applied. It's extremely comfortable, like every other Revlon lipstick I have ever had on, and my initial inclination is to keep enough of it on hand to use indefinitely. Very glad to have it, buy it if you want a cool, beautiful, comfortable berried red that is no more than medium dark. (I think!😄)

This is my go to lipstick and the first time I purchased it off of Amazon I usually go to the store and buy it, but it wasn’t available so I went to Amazon and bought it. I have been using the lipstick for 5+ years. I love it for a nude for me. I match it with Nick‘s Nude, beige matches, almost perfectly then line it a little bit darker so you can go different lipstick liners if you want or just use this alone, it’s great it stays on the lips. It’s hydrating. It’s not too heavy. It stays in place to a certain point. Obviously it’s budge Proof but it’s amazing.

I have spent so much money on finding the perfect lipstick. I don't know if this lipstick in the color Flushed is "perfect," but I am certainly impressed. I decided to try this lipstick based on the positive reviews. I am constantly disappointed with lipsticks because they are either drying, or the color is off. I am older, blonde, with Hazel green eyes, and very fair. What is lovely about this color is that it gives a pop of color but isn't too bold. It brightens your face but in a soft way. Many colors are too vivid on me. This is a lovely pink shade, perfect for the daytime, that feels moisturizing AND it's so affordable! I will definitely be buying more colors.

I bought 3 of these lipsticks. I think the ruby red is a dark and cool-toned red. The formula is pleasant, gives some shine, and looks like it could stay put on the lips. I don't have any struggles with the application. I think it's both wearable for everyday and glam looks. My only concern is the fact that it's not buildable. I feel like just 1 layer is all I can do since it's light and dull - it won't layer/deepen if you swipe. You can't get a thick and "pouty" kind of lip. It's good for a soft, practical lip shine and color coat. I want to emphasize that it's creamy and might melt if left in the sun for a long time.

Revlon has always been a top quality product, and this color, 420 Blushed, 1 of two favorite shade of lipstick for me. Works much better than Chapstick, so I even sleep in it. I have two with makeup products, , one at the computer, one in purse.

This is similar to a Clinique lipstick shade I used for years and was recently discontinued. Someone on the Clinique page on Reddit suggested this Revlon shade as being similar, as they used the Clinique shade also.Does not feel heavy, Revlon is a reputable company. I would buy this product again.

This Revlon lipstick is just average. The color is nice enough, but the formula is nothing special. It applies smoothly initially but doesn't last long - definitely needs touch-ups after eating or drinking. Felt a bit drying on my lips after a few hours. The pigmentation is okay but not impressive. For the price it's acceptable, but there are better options available. Packaging is standard. Wouldn't rush to repurchase, but it works fine for everyday casual wear.

At first I thought the color was too orangey and frosted. I wore it a couple days, and then really started to like it I ALWAYS prep my lips before I apply lipstick, so I really don't know if it goes on drying or not. It stays on pretty well after my 1 coat + blot,+ another coat.
