Good quality soft leather. Perfect size, enough room, but not bulky. On top of it great price.

I love the quality of the wallet for the price point. It also is forcing me to pare down what I keep in it, which was part of the goal—slimming my wallet down.

My wallet is pretty fat because I carry too much junk in it - like payers cards for a dozen casinos just in case I go into one of them. So a slim-downed wallet would be nice.The box that enclosed the wallet looks nice & it is sort of “high class”. If you get something in leather, just about everyone smells it - like a new car - it just has that smell. The product will provide that scent albeit mellow.The first impression was that my old wallet is smaller than this one - but it is not as slim. There is a small emblem on the wallet that is intended to show the brand logo to make an impression on folks who see it - like Gucci, Chanel, Fendi, Polo, et. al. That is nice product branding only if you recognize it - I had no clue & had to Google them to see who they are - because I don’t paint & I do not camp out.On the inside there are 5 slots for CC, insurance card, or whatever will fit in them. Two on the left & 3 on the right side. There isn’t a place for your ID/Drivers License with the see through window. Pealing it open you will find 2 lengthwise “pockets” of soft, smooth, cloth - really nice - where you can store more cards & stuff and use the other one for some paper cash. The wallet is also longer than my old wallet, so things are stretched out making the wallet “slimmer”.It is slimmer - thickness wise - because I have less junk in it. All the casino card are gone, 4 less CCs, & some other stuff that did not make the cut. However this wallet is larger in the other 2 dimensions. I have a slimmer wallet because lots of stuff is gone & the wallet grew in length & width.Overall, I really like the wallet. Yes it is “slimmer” than my old wallet & takes-up less space & fits nicely in my pocket. It has good craftsmanship & looks great. It is slimmer because you put less junk in it! It still gets all 5 stars from me - great wallet for the price.

=== My Take ===Although the Wise Owl minimalist wallet in the Cognac Pebbled style is minimalist, thin, light, and made of soft genuine leather, there is a one thing that bothers me. When I put store receipts in the compartment where paper money goes, the edge of the receipt sticks out because the wallet is not high enough (see pic). On one hand, it can be good because the lower height makes it easier to insert into the back pocket of some of my more tight-fitting shorts and pants. But with the receipt sticking out like that, it's slightly unsightly.The two card slots on the left are looser than the three card slots on the right. As a result, you can fit two or three cards into each one of the left slots comfortably. I recommend fitting just one card per slot into the three slots on the right side.I usually prefer the softness offered by Napa leather but the leather on the Wise Owl wallet is soft enough and acceptable. It feels a bit rubbery like it's fake leather but it's real leather and smells like it. I experienced no discomfort with the wallet inside my back pocket and driving my car.Overall, I rate it 3.5 Stars due to the receipt sticking out issue._____*Pros:-Attractive color and minimalist design.-Soft and pliable leather.-Can comfortably fit seven cards in there without overstuffing it.-Hidden pouch can accommodate a few coins or another card._____*Cons:-The wallet is not high enough to hide any receipts you put into the currency compartment.

This is a nice unassuming wallet to look at. The leather feels nice, and I must admit that it's nice to have a leather wallet again after several generations of wallets made from artificial materials.It has a tasteful-looking owl logo on the front. Three credit card slots on the right side that my credit cards fit in snugly but easily. The slots are deep enough for credit cards yet the cards stick up just enough you can tell them apart, and the leather is flexible enough for easy retrieval. On the left side are two slots. I use the bottom one for my driver’s license - again a nice secure but easy-to-retrieve fit. The slot above that one is deeper for any slightly oversized cards.One feature that it doesn/t have is a window through which you can easily see your driver’s license. You have to pull it out if a cashier needs to see it. Some people prefer that; I'm undecided.What you see on the Amazon page is what you get.Very nice wallet for anyone who needs just a simple, tasteful, slim wallet. In my case that means taking the cards I actually use 99% of the time out of my other, bloated wallet, leaving that one at home in a drawer and actually carrying this one. I may not be slim anymore, but my wallet can be.

What I like about this wallet:-soft pebble-grain leather-two bill compartments (for the many dollars I always carry :-)-slots for five credit cards with a hidden compartment for coins or more cards-classy owl logo on the frontWhat's not to like:-I don't think I would carry coins in the hidden pocket. First, you'd have to open the compartment each time you wanted a coin. And second, you couldn't carry many coins before it makes a bulge in the wallet.-There is no ID slot with a clear window so you can conveniently show your ID when required. If the front slot for a card was made with the clear plastic window, I think that would solve the problem.This wallet just feels good in your hand and probably in your pocket provided you don't put too many coins in the hidden compartment. Wise Owl is putting out some very attractive and functional wallets. This just may be the perfect wallet for you.
