Mouse won't stay in place
The toy is okay. My cat really likes the little mouse on top of the ball run. Unfortunately it doesn't stay in place very well, and she keeps pulling it off of the toy and dragging it around the house. I might end up just rigging that piece to a different toy or attach it to her scratcher post instead. The ball run is a little wider than it needs to be, but otherwise the toy is fine.

Not a good toy for my cat or for me (the logistics of it.) But please notice many cats DO like it a lot!
I'll give this product some stars because other people's cats liked it, but I didn't like this toy for two reasons.1/ My cat had no interest in it (when the spring was securely in the hole.) No matter how much I moved the ball inside around, and jiggled the mouse on the long spring, he did not show any inclination to interact with it. (I think this may be because I play with him so much, and he is interested in a kind of "prey" that really jumps, flies, wiggles, dies, revives, allows itself to be chewed on, hides behind things and pops out—in other words, a very exciting and lively prey—quite different from a mouse that sits there and jiggles around IF the cat swats it. And then just stays still after it finishes jiggling. Or a hard plastic ball that he can hardly touch with his paws. All of you whose cats love this toy—do you play with your cats a lot? Or is this fun for them because it's the most interesting thing to come down the pike, for them, for a long time! Well, I wanted my cat to enjoy it when I was watching TV and stuff, but no dice.2. The long spring ultimately did not stay in the hole. I jammed it in at first (hurt my fingers) and I thought I was all set, but when I was demonstrating to my cat what it could do, I bent it too far over and it popped out of the hole. Now, I suppose I could glue it into the hole, maybe, but what would be the point, since he doesn't want to play with it? And maybe it wouldn't stay in the hole anyway. I notice other people had trouble with that spring not staying in the hole. (Plus, as I said in another place on here, there were no directions, and so I spent time worrying about that plastic piece on the end of the spring—should I take it off or not? I got the answer here that it is not meant to be taken off, okay.)So, I don't want people to reject this toy because of MY review—that's why I'm not giving it only one star. But that's what my cat would have given it!! If he could say more than "meow" and "purrr." Actually, maybe he would growl at it!!

MY CATS LOVED IT AT FIRST
MY CATS LOVED IT AT FIRST. WHEN I GOT IT OUT OF THE MAILING BOX, THE MOUSE SHAPED SWATTER HAD TO BE ADDED TO THE RING THAT BALL WAS IN. IT WOULD NOT STAY ON TOY LIKE IT SAID IT WAS SUPPOSED TO. WHEN OUR CATS STARTED TO PAT AT THE MOUSE IT CAME OFF. I PUT IT BACK ON TOY BUT ANOTHER PAT AND OUR CATS TOOK OFF WITH IT. THEY STILL ARE PLAYING WITH BALL INSIDE RING BUT THE MOUSE SHAPED SWATTER IS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. SO, I AM A LITTLE UPSET WITH THAT. THEY STILL HAVE BOTH TOYS BUT THE MOUSE SHAPED SWATTER WOULD NOT AND DID NOT STAY ON RING. A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER, .....LINDA R...

Great for a small cat or kitten
This is actually a small toy. I think it is better for a kitten or small cat. My cat is a bruiser at 23 lbs and little fat. He tired of this toy for the most part ,but will bat at it now and then. I got him a larger one and he likes it better. So, I think this toy will be fine for your small cat or kitten. It is well made and the mouse is on a nice spring for added fun. I am considering giving this toy as a casual gift to someone with a smaller cat.

good value, good quality
my cats really like this toy. I added fresh cat nip inside of the track when I first got it to help attract them to it. I expected it to be larger but I don't remember paying attention to the measurements so I suppose that is my fault. It is durable. I like that the cats can play with the ball through the top or the sides. I am surprised that they to bat the mouse around more than play with the ball. It is always a good deal to get 2 toys In one which is one reason that I chose this one.

Pretty good toy for your cat
If your cat likes to swat things and likes watching a ball roll around, then this is a pretty good toy. The only issue I had was that my cat hated the original ball for whatever reason. I don't know if it was the ringing noises that came out of it, or if it was too small. I replaced the ball with a light up ball that another reviewer recommended and now my cat plays with the toy for about 30 min on most days.Make sure you rotate the toy out every few days otherwise your cat won't touch it.

Toy is Engaging but Constructed with Cheap Materials
I bought this for my cats after reading so many positive reviews. It took about a week for them to figure out the ball part but once they did, they absolutely loved it. I have one very playful and active cat and one cat who could afford to lose a could pounds. I have so much trouble engaging the heavier cat but she spends at least a half hour a day chasing the ball around. So why only three stars? The mouse/spring piece will not stay in the holder. My cats knock it down within two seconds. Because its constantly knocked down, the mouse is already starting to disintegrate. I don't even bother putting it in any more. So basically I paid 16.99 for a ball in a plastic circle which seems a bit pricey.

Good toy, but mouse doesn't stay attached.
I have two rescue cats and they love this thing. I can't speak for the mouse, because it would not stay put in the hole. It's almost like it was missing a piece or something, but it would never stay upright and would instead just fall off. The cats dragged it off somewhere and ate it. But as for the bottom piece, they love batting around the ball and trying to catch it. It keeps them entertained for quite a while.
