Very versatile and simple to clean out, much better design, motor is powerful and improves functionality. Purchased, based on raving review from Americas Test Kitchen.Own other B&D small vac which is difficult to clean out and much less powerful pickup ability.

This is the bomb of a dustbuster. It's very powerful and holds the charge for a while. I recommend cleaning it regularly though. You need to take the parts out and wash out the filter to have optimal performance. It's not enough just to dump the dust and bits. But it's pretty easy once you get used to it. A garden hose will do. These last a long time compared with other Dust Busters we've had. There's even a crevice tool that you pull out that will get in your window tracks and slider tracks.

This vacuum is absolutely amazing!! I use it for everything from chunks of foam to hair and cat litter. The powerful suction was EXACTLY what I was looking for and the only reason I knew it was powerful was because a friend had it (now our whole group of friends has one). This vacuum is SO easy to take apart and clean and the filter is easily replaceable! It is lightweight and charges quickly it also picks everything up with speed! I have had this vacuum 3 years now and if it broke I would definitely buy another immediately (but it seems very durable like it will last forever)! I’ve also just now replaced the filter so the filter was long lasting as well! AMAZING PRODUCT! I hope they keep this around forever!

I purchased the vacuum after much research and I was not disappointed! Overall, I am incredibly happy with the product but here are a few things to consider before buying them yourself:Pros: It looks very sleek. It looks really good on its charging port as well! I don't mind displaying out in the open. It also is quite compact when stored in its charging dock which is a plus. Its suction is great! I think that was the number one thing that I was looking for in a hand held vacuum as ones in the past had issues with this.Cons: The one gripe I have with this vacuum and for you to consider is that it's actually a little awkward using it. The head is a lot shorter than it looks in the picture and it makes it awkward to hold for some reason. It's probably more of my own preference than anything but something to consider.***update***I've had this product for several months now and it is still working great!!! Suction still works great, battery life is good and it's cleaned up quite a bit of mess for us in the last few month.But, there is one more thing for the buyer to consider that I noticed with more use. There is a rubber lip inside that prevents anything sucked into the vacuum from coming out. It works great for that purpose. But, one continuous issue I am having is bigger particles getting stuck in-between the lip and the filter. There isn't a whole lot of space between them and anything bigger than dust will get stuck there. When I go to dump the mess in the trash, I often have to reach in there and pick out whatever is wedged in there. Not a deal breaker by any means, but nevertheless an annoyance for you to consider.***update***Recently, after having the product for about 6 months, the hinge on my vacuum broke. I recently read a review that indicated the same issue. For the overall good quality of the rest of the vacuum, this plastic hinge for the door is a little disappointing. We have used it daily, so by no means has the vacuum been handled with delicacy. BUT, who has time to treat their vacuum delicately! It just needs to work to clean up all of those messes your kids make! I could not find any way to contact costumer service on Amazon so decided to go to their website directly. Their website is not the easiest to navigate and finding the contact information too a few minutes but once I put in my request, I received a response within a few days. They did not have any spare parts or had any solutions for a fix but they were able to send me a replacement unit for free of charge. I know Amazon has you buy a 2 year warranty but I saw on the Black and Decker website that the two year warranty was included in the purchase. Not sure if it does not apply to the batch on Amazon but I have a hard time seeing black and decker not honoring the warranty. I don't know if I was covered or they were being nice, but I do appreciate the good customer service! So if you have a similar issue and your vacuum is less than 2 years old, try contacting them directly about the issue. Besides the hinge, this is still a great vacuum.

Good dustbuster! strong motor, sufficient ability to pick up debris. Not too heavy, but heavy enough to know you have a good product in your hands. I would recommend it. Hard working hand held vacuum cleaner.

I love how this is so powerful! The way it folds up or stretches way out is awesome too for getting in the knicks and crevices' in my car. It is light weight and stays charged a long time. I lost my charger one time and it was so easy to buy another one on Amazon.

big, thick, smooth handle is easy for my arthritic hands to hold. nothing pinches or scrapes my hands. well-balanced. when I set it down for a moment, it does not rock or tip.charging station compact and stable. easy to see when charging is complete.used this on my pets rug and it picked out all those little bits that are tracked around that I couldn't even see. it also did a great job sucking dust out of my pleated lampshades. it gets the big stuff and the little stuff. it is light enough that my arms do not tire quickly.after a couple tries, was easy to empty and clean. good instructions come with it. it is a little noisy but I like the power. am glad I gave this a try. worth the price. would buy again, would give as a gift. highly recommended.

The BLACK+DECKER PIVOT VAC is lightweight and handy for small messes, but battery life is short, and suction is weak for larger debris. The pivot nozzle helps in tight spots, but it struggles with carpets. Okay for quick cleanups, but not for heavy-duty use. Decent for the price, but could be better.
