I love this tens unit. It has different channels and modes that you can set it to to get the best relief. The only thing I wish it had is an option to turn off the beeping. I have a few different tens units and I can’t wear this one to Church because it beeps.

Addendum to initial review:Having used this unit countless times, I am still pleased with its performance. I am still using the battery I put in when I received the unit (9v lithium ion), with no discernible loss of power. I had mentioned that I did not see the included electrodes lasting much longer than a few uses, and that proved to be true for me. One's results surely vary, but I have dry skin and find that this makes adhesion shorter lasting. I ended up buying a super econo-pack of pads as well as gel, and this has worked well for me.My Mr. keeps pulling his right trapezius in his sleep, so I suggested he use this. He had gone from a moderate to severe pain that retarded his ability to move that particular muscle to tolerable in one session, and claimed that he was devoid of pain when he awoke. My purposes for use have changed a bit, and I now mostly use it to alleviate a profound tightness in whatever muscle group is pissed off that day. I walk (or something that only marginally resembles walking) around work looking like an informant for a low-budget police department, but the unit works pretty well for lessening the tightness. I find the best results when I juice that baby up to five and use a more pulsating wavelength. My muscles are pretty stubborn and must be dealt with harshly. I am going to see how long this battery lasts and perhaps grab a rechargeable, but if it continues with this pattern of endurance, I can deal with replacing it once or twice a year.On this episode of "Stuff I Have to Buy for My Broken Body"...I am falling apart faster than the Corpse Bride. My joints keep popping out and I have muscle pain and neuralgia. A million different diagnoses, yet no real course of treatment while my specialists squabble over who is right. Taking matters into my own hands, I decided upon this unit after weighing the different options; the main determining factor being the power source. There seems to be much debate about whether a 9v is superior to 4 AAA (or AA?) batteries. I could not tell you because I wasn't in a hurry to compare and contrast, but I am sufficiently pleased by the power in this 9v device.I read through the manual as soon as I opened the box, applied the electrodes with some assistance in strategically lacing the leads though clothing so I could be productive, and played with the different modes to determine which felt the best on a personal level. I recently found that I have a freakishly high level of pressure in the musculature in my neck. Lately it has been feeling like Godzilla has been carrying me around by said body part. Consequently, that is where I began the treatment. Within a few minutes of beginning, I felt a slight relief that continued for the duration of the treatment and lasted for about an hour afterward. As far as I am concerned, that is fine with me. I then moved the leads to my back and when that was finished, to my left shoulder. Again, I noticed a fast relief to the issues at hand with the effects lasting 20 to 60 minutes afterward. I will continue to use this regularly. I know that this helps some long term and others only while in active use. Either way, I'll take what I can get.The unit is extremely easy to use, and in the event that it is confusing the manual provides concise instruction. It is well powered to the point that I was surprised about how much of a punch this little thing could pack. After having this at level 4 for the areas treated, I decided to get a bit feisty and test the upper limits of the settings. Yeah, this device isn't messing around. A few violent involuntary muscle spasms later, I lost any concern I may have had about power.Having just showered before applying the electrodes, my skin was clean and dry. Unfortunately, I can't see the pads sticking for more than a few uses. I suppose my next step will be to purchase a gel to extend their life a few more uses, as well as buy a super econo-pack of pads.In absence of the therapeutic value, I find the sensation to be extremely relaxing but am happy enough with the temporary results to continue using it for the foreseeable future until someone can perform a successful full-body transplant.

This TENS unit was a good buy: very affordable, versatile, compact, and effective!At first I thought the modes are too limited, but then I started to experiment with various settings, changing the ratio between hertz and pulse width. Once I did that, I was able to find the optimal mode setting for my needs.The unit is very handy, and I appreciate the clip added, so that I can walk around when using it. If there's anything I am don't find optimal, then its the fact that the battery is not rechargeable; at least it lasts for a long time.As far as the healing impact goes, TENS units only give temporary relief. They can loosen muscles sufficiently that enables a therapist to work on the actual problem. In short, its not a healing device in enough itself but it can be a precursor to healing. I can highly recommend it for this purpose.

Works very well; I love it. My leg pain somehow seems alot better during the day too ! Funny though, the setting intensity goes up to #8, I only use #3, once in error I put in on 4 1/2 and Wow, that was Very strong, not exactly "painful" but I think that said I'd be afraid to use the #8 ! I will keep it at 3 or 4 though; still learning about the different modes but yes I do like this. Thank you

I needed to replace my old Reliamed unit which was purchased through my chiropractor over 20 years ago, and I've been thru several iterations of different TENS brands and designs which have all disappointing at best. My original unit was nearly bullet-proof, but the ports were failing and it was no longer reliable. Though I just started using it, this TENS 7000 seems to be a good solid, no nonsense unit. It has real storage case and a large metal, wearable clip (BOTH, yay!). Other brands had one or the other, and the clips were cheaply made plastic, which was one of my biggest peeves. On set up, I found that the default settings (esp. the rate) were much higher than my original unit settings, but it was a no-brainer to adjust all the settings. The only annoying bit is that the minute timer setting includes an annoying bunch of beeps at the end of the cycle. So far I have not found a way to turn it off, other than setting the timer to "continuous" and turning if on/off manually. Also, I'd advise folks to actually read the quick start guide and manual to get it set up to your liking, before actually using it.

If a Tens unit is something that works for your pain then this unit will work great and provides a variety of stimulation modes for you. Worth your consideration.
