Brighten your moments, and your day
I own a 5 year old, great looking, "gb&a" Acoustic Guitar. Recently, the lower "E" string on my Guitar broke when I tried to tune it correctly. I wanted to replace it immediately, and that is when I started to research online if strings had much effect on the sound quality the Guitar produces. For my surprise, there were a ton of string varieties I had to choose a set from. Each kind of strings had different characteristics to them. The material used, winding, coating, etc, all played a very important role in deciding the string quality.Further research on YouTube almost convinced me that D'Addario (pronounced "dad-day-rio") makes great quality Guitar strings. I then dug in much deeper to find out different kinds of guitar strings D'Addario manufactures. Again, there were a dozen of different kinds of strings to choose from. My strict budget did not favor me to buy a very high quality set of strings, but I decided to put my faith in thousands of peoples' reviews online anyway, and placed an order for this strings set - "D'Addario EJ11 80/20 Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings, Light, 12-53".Thanks to Amazon, they delivered the product to me within their committed time period. I just unwound all the strings from my Guitar, loaded the new ones on it, and VOILA! The sound quality and the difference is just awesome! They give me BRIGHT, DEEP, and PROJECTING tones when I play my Guitar, and I'm loving it! No regrets here. I would recommend these strings to anyone who is looking to replace their Acoustic Guitar strings with a worthy set of strings, and are in tight budget. The head of the strings are color coded to differentiate them from each other, and the legend for those colors is printed on the back of the package (as seen in the image), once you open it.NOTE: These are LIGHT gauge strings (.012 - .053). There are .010 -.046 gauge, .010 - .050 gauge, .011 - .052 gauge (Custom), and dozens of other gauges in strings that are "VERY LIGHT" - "HEAVY" sets. Choose your Guitar strings wisely, or you might not like the outcome. If $$ isn't your concern, then go for the PHOSPHOR BRONZE, or may be SILK & STEEL strings, which are claimed to produce the best tones!

EJ11 vs EJ16
I have Yamaha F310 guitar. After trying various strings on guitar, I settled with D'Addario EJ16 strings. I will compare EJ11 strings with EJ16.EJ16 are really good strings for F310. As already mentioned on pack produce warm and balanced tone. EJ16 has higher copper content, hence able to maintain consistent tone over a period of time and more corrosion resistance. Since I reside near sea face, these are very helpful in humid climate. EJ11 on other hand starts out bright. They produce great sound once out of the pack and put on guitar. But at the same time mellow faster and cannot produce consistent tone over period of time. Another thing I observed is EJ11 strings are comparatively soft on fingers, which is especially suitable for beginners or when you are trying to learn barre chords.Hope this helps.. Keep Strumming..
